初プロジェクトの失敗と新たなプロジェクトへ繋がる動き
The failure of the first project, and the movement to new project

　「ネパールの人たちに”夢”を与えるようなことをしたい！」と思い、ネパール人の友人達とNGO「Dream for Nepal」を立ち上げたのは、2017年のことでした。当NGOの代表を務める Anish Koirala 氏の結婚式に出席するために初めてネパールを訪れた際、彼の故郷であるネパールの地方都市ビラートナガール（Biratnagar）で差別を受けて貧困に苦しんでいる DOOM（ドゥーム）と呼ばれる人々のコミュニティを訪問し、彼らの生活の現状を見て、彼らの話を聞き、彼らの大変厳しい状況にショックを受けたのがきっかけでした。
　"I want to do something for Nepali to give a dream for them.", so I established this NGO "Dream for Nepal" with some Nepali friends in 2017. It was right after I visited Nepal for participating to the wedding party of our chairman, Mr. Anish Koirala. While I was in Nepal, instead of sightseeing, I visited an underprivileged community called "DOOM" in a local city, Biratnagar where is the hometown of our chairman. The DOOM people are hated by neighbors as an untouchable people. When I visited the DOOM, they showed their living area and I talked with them about their lives and situation. It was too terrible to understand for me and I was totally shocked by the underprivileged situation of the DOOM people.That's why I established this organization to do something for underprivileged people in Nepal.

　私たちは、最初の活動として、DOOMの人々に、生活の糧を得る手段として、電動三輪タクシー E-Rickshaw（E-リクシャー）を送るというプロジェクトを企画し、そのために必要な資金をクラウドファンディングで調達しようと、当サイトにプロジェクトを開設しました。しかしながら、思うように資金調達できず失敗に終わり、プロジェクトは完全に頓挫してしまいました。その後、クラウドファンディングではなく、DOOMの人たちができる何かを作り、それをインターネットで販売して資金を調達するという方法も考えましたが、現地でDOOMの人たちとやり取りをしてくれる現地スタッフが調達できず、実現には至りませんでした。そのまま 2018、2019年と時は流れ、「何かをしたい」という思いはあれど、何もできていないまま２年間という月日が過ぎ、DOOMの人たちに「申し訳ない」という気持ちだけが心の中に残り続けました。
 Our first project was to support the DOOM community.  We wanted to give them an E-Rickshaw, an electric three wheel motorcycle taxi so that the DOOM people can earn money to make their life better. And we tried to raise our fund by crowdfunding on CAMPFIRE. But unfortunately we couldn't achieve the project and we failed to raise fund. We sought another way to earn money for this project. For example, selling some products which are made by the DOOM people on the internet. But we didn't have any staff who live near the DOOM and back and forth with them. So we couldn't make true this alternative plan. And two years passed with doing nothing despite we want to do something for the DOOM, and only the feeling of "We are sorry for the DOOM people" remained in our heart.

　その間も、ネパール人の友人たちとは、インターネットを介して連絡を取り合い、繋がりを続けておりました。そんな状況が続いていた 2019年11月、当団体の代表の甥にあたる友人から、「仕事の国際会議でフィリピンに行くことになった」との連絡がありました。「それなら」と思い、思い切って友人に「ついでに日本に来てみたら？」と誘いました。
 These two years, I kept communicating with Nepali members on the internet. November in 2019, one of our member, Mr. Ankush Upreti who is the nephew of our chairman Mr. Anish Koirala, gave me a message that he got a chance to going Philippines on the international conference of "Teach for All". When I heard it, I invited him to come to Japan.

　そんな経緯で、友人の Ankush（アンクッシュ）氏は日本を数日間訪問する方向で話が進んでいったのですが・・・・
