■ Self-introduction

Hello. My name is Sujata and I am a doctoral student in Tokyo. I am originally from India and am currently conducting research into deciphering the ancient Indus script using artificial intelligence (AI). I have personally planned this project, but I am also working with my supervisor and fellow researchers at my university to help me prepare it.

■ What we want to achieve through this project

I would like to hold an exhibition in Tokyo open to the public to let many people know about my research into using AI to analyze and decipher the symbols of an ancient civilization known as the Indus script. The exhibition will introduce visual data on the characters, research results, how AI works, and interactive content that even children can enjoy. I would love to see this exhibition come to fruition as the first step in opening up my research to society.

■ Background to the launch of this project

I have been working on this research for several years as a meaningful challenge to connect ancient and modern technology. However, as I approach the end of my doctoral program, I am finding it difficult to receive financial support. I launched this crowdfunding campaign in the hope that by holding an exhibition, more people will become aware of the social significance and potential of my research.

■ Current preparation status

In preparation for the exhibition, we are currently working on organizing the exhibit content, creating visuals, and listing potential venues. We are also getting quotes for materials and equipment, and will be ready to move forward as soon as crowdfunding is successful. The venue is planned to be in Tokyo, and we aim to create a safe, comfortable and enjoyable environment for visitors.

■  About returns

We plan to send small items related to research and culture, as well as simple pamphlets summarizing the exhibition contents, to those who support us. We plan to offer several plans depending on the amount of donation, so please check the bottom of the page. *Some returns are available in limited quantities.

• June 2nd: Crowdfunding begins
  June 20th: Crowdfunding ends
  Late June: Venue contract and preparation of exhibition materials begins
  Early July: Exhibition content and poster finalization
  Mid-August to mid-September: Exhibition held (scheduled to be held in Tokyo)
  Late September: Activity report sent, rewards shipped

■ Finally

I believe that this exhibition is the culmination of my research career and a bridge that connects academia and society, and the past and the future.
