Hello everyone, we are NPO organization Minashigo Kyuentai Dogs and Cats Jyoto-Center based in Hiroshima from 2012.

We have a small branch in Tokyo Setagaya-ku searching for new family for abandoned dogs, cats and small animals such as Tegu mouse, rabbits, etc. In total, we have rescued about 3200 dogs, cats and small animals　(April 2012 - June 2020). And 2100 of them has found a new safe home.

In Japan, it is clearly stated in Animal Protection Law that owner must take care of the animal till their life is completed. But on the other hand, the owner has no way to ask for help if they have faced difficulties keeping their animal. This is why NPO organization like us, NPO Minashigo Jyouto center is needed in Japan to stop killing all the animals who has nowhere else to go.

These dogs and cats were abandoned because human have to move to a different country and they are too old to take with them, some were abandoned because their kids has allergies and can’t keep them anymore, some were left alone because human passed away and their relatives doesn’t want to keep them.

All of them use to have a safe home, loved by humans, but abandoned in various reasons. But it doesn’t mean they can not have a second chance. They deserve a second chance, so we go mostly all over Japan to rescue a dog or a cat. This organization has a "no kill" policy, because we believe that all dogs and cats deserve a second chance, and it is wrong that we kill them just because they are not needed anymore.

So we are building nursing home in Hiroshima for those senior dogs and cats who has nowhere else to go. Those senior dogs and cats are not easy to find a new home and numbers are increasing. 

When this nursing home is completed, we will be able to accommodate 200 dogs and cats. (About 120 cats, about 45 large sized dogs, about 35 small dogs.) 

We know it is important to keep the proper number of dogs and cats to maintain the healthy clean environment, so we are not going to cherry pick the animals but try our best to keep the proper number. 

All dogs needs, clean water, proper food, safe bed, hygiene environment, healthy  walk,  and of course full of love. We will continue to find a nice safe home for them but completion of nursing home is still a must.

Senior dogs and cats can stay rest of their lives safe and secure.

This is a senior cats room. As you can see, cat tower is not so tall.

This room is for adult cats. It is under construction. When room is completed, we are going to put each one of them their own bed and toilet.

We put the shade in order to cut the direct hot summer sun rays.　

We can run outside in rainy seasons too.

Why do we need the money?

* We need Air Conditioning system that could work 24H/365 days.

1 Air-con costs \JPY 600,000(about USD 6000)and we need 6 in inside and 4 in outside.

The heat is really serious in Hiroshima so the installation is a must.

That is total of \JPY 3,600,000(indoor) plus \JPY 2,000,000(0utdoor).

* 10 large fans to circulate the air and 6 outside stove to warm the large dogs in Winter.

That is total of \JPY 500,000(about USD 5000).

* 4 large shelter for strong heavy dogs who needs special care. 

Reform materials to complete the Senior cats and dogs room.

About \JPY 900,000(about USD 9000).
