多くの若い人やこれからの新しい世界をつくっていく方々が何か精神的な悩み、そして人生に対する悩み、そういったものがあった時に、私の生きてきた道のりや、私が唱えてきた世界観や思想を乗り越え、皆で偉大なる世界をつくられていくことこそが絶大なる私の希望であります。それを心より願っております。

我々「倭-YAMATO」は「世界を旅する和太鼓集団」として、これまでに５４カ国において４０００公演を行ってきました。ワールドツアーへの挑戦が始まった１９９８年。時を同じくして欧州文化首都・ストックホルムでの公演に招聘頂いたのがEUジャパンフェストの皆様とご一緒した初めてのプロジェクトでした。日本発の芸術文化を支援されているEUジャパンフェスト皆様のその熱意を身近に体験したことは、今も我々の活動に大きなエネルギーとなっています。それ以降幾度となく欧州文化首都での演奏機会を頂いておりますが、その全てが通常では経験出来ない素晴らしい出会いに彩られた、表現者として体験出来る最高の機会です。今回、日本人の創り出すアートを欧州に発信するという活動を更に力強く前進させるべく「クラウドファンディング」に挑戦されるとのこと、皆様の情熱が多くの方にご理解ご賛同頂ける様、心から願っております。頑張ってください！

I want to keep fighting until I die. I hope that even after I die, you can still feel my desire to create, my hope for art, and my passion.

It is my immense hope that many young people and those who will create a new world in the future will be able to overcome their mental problems and worries about life, the path I have lived and the worldview and ideas I have advocated, and create a great world together. That is my heartfelt wish.

YAMATO the Drummers of Japan is a world-travelling taiko group that has performed 4,000 shows in 54 countries. The challenge of a world tour began in 1998. We were invited to perform in the European Capital of Culture Stockholm, and that was our first project with EU-Japan Fest. Experiencing first-hand the enthusiasm of EU-Japan Fest for supporting arts and culture from Japan has been a great source of energy for our work. Since then, we have had many opportunities to perform at the European Capitals of Culture, all of which have been wonderful and unique experiences for us as performers. This time they have decided to take the challenge of "crowdfunding" in order to further strengthen their work in supporting arts by Japanese to Europe. I sincerely hope that their passion will be understood and shared by many people!
