私たちはSTEM Racingに挑戦する『WindBreaker』です！

We are WindBreaker, taking on the challenge of STEM Racing!

STEM Racingは、Formula 1が公式に支援する教育プログラムで、学生がチームとなり、科学・技術・工学・数学（STEM）を活用して車体を設計・製作し、競い合う競技です。技術力だけでなく、マーケティングや資金調達などのビジネススキルも求められます。

STEM Racing is an educational program officially supported by Formula 1, where students work together in teams to design, manufacture, and race miniature cars using science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Beyond engineering, the competition also challenges participants to develop business skills such as marketing, branding, sponsorship proposals, and project management.

WindBreakerとは？・Who is WindBreaker?

2025年8月に結成された高校２年生チーム！興味や関心は違うけれど、同じ目標に向かってこのプログラムに取り組んでいます。

2026年6月に開催されたSTEM Racing日本大会では、全国2位という結果を収めることができました。また、Mitutoyo Scrutineering Award、ANA Team Identity Awardを受賞し、日本代表として世界大会への出場権を獲得しました。

WindBreaker was founded in August 2025 by a group of high school juniors with diverse passions and ambitions. While our interests range from engineering and design to business and marketing, we all share one common goal: to push our limits through STEM Racing.

At the 2026 STEM Racing Japan National Finals, we placed 2nd overall, along with the Mitutoyo Scrutineering Award and the ANA Team Identity Award, securing our place as a representative team of Japan at the STEM Racing World Finals!

世界大会へ進出できるのは日本全国でわずか2チームのみです。私たちはその1枠を勝ち取り、2026年10月にシンガポールで開催されるSTEM Racing World Finalsに出場します。

Only two teams in Japan earn the opportunity to compete at the STEM Racing World Finals. We are proud to have secured one of those places and will represent Japan in Singapore this October.

WindBreakerという名前には、「周囲の風に流されず、自分たちが信じる道を切り開く」という思いが込められています。

そして私たちが今掲げているチームモットーは「極み」です。

現代社会では、速さや効率、利益が優先されることが少なくありません。

しかし私たちは、本当に価値あるものは時間と努力の積み重ねによって生まれると考えています。

例えば、一流の職人や伝統工芸士、そして高度な技術を必要とする盆栽職人など、長い年月をかけて技術を磨き続ける人々がいます。

私たちはそんな「極める姿勢」に強く惹かれています。

そして、その価値はSTEM Racingにも通じると考えています。速く結果を出すことだけを求めるのではなく、設計を何度も見直し、失敗から学び、改善を積み重ねることで初めて高い完成度へと近づくことができます。私たちは競技を通して、時間をかけて技術や知識を磨き続けることの大切さを学んでいます。

現在のチームメンバー5人は、それぞれ異なる強みや興味を生かしながら、CAD設計、空力解析、CNC加工、マーケティング、スポンサーシップ活動、プレゼンテーションなど、これらの分野のほとんどを未経験の状態から自分たちで学び始めました。

私たちはSTEM Racingを通じて、単なる競技成績だけではなく、「何かを極めることの価値」を次世代へ伝えたいと考えています。

The name WindBreaker reflects our belief in slicing through the winds of doubt, expectations, and obstacles to forge our own path.

One of the mindsets that defines our journey is the pursuit of mastery.

In today's world, speed, efficiency, and immediate results are often prioritized above all else.

However, we believe that true value is created through time, dedication, and continuous improvement.

Whether it is master craftsmen preserving centuries-old traditions, artisans perfecting their skills over decades, or bonsai artists patiently shaping their trees year after year, Japan has long celebrated those who devote themselves to mastering a craft.

That mindset is what inspires us.

We believe the same philosophy lies at the heart of STEM Racing. 

Success is not achieved by rushing toward quick results. It comes from refining a design countless times, learning from every failure, and continually improving until every detail has been perfected.

Through STEM Racing, we are learning that excellence is not built overnight. It is earned through perseverance and the relentless pursuit of improvement.

Each of our five team members brings different strengths and interests to the team. Together, we have taught ourselves skills that were completely new to us, including CAD design, aerodynamic analysis, CNC manufacturing, marketing, sponsorship acquisition, branding, and public presentation.

For us, STEM Racing is about far more than a competition.

It is about embracing the journey of mastery and inspiring the next generation to discover the value of dedicating themselves to something meaningful.

We hope to show that when passion is matched with patience and perseverance, extraordinary achievements become possible.

プロジェクト立ち上げの背景・Why did we start?

私たちWindBreakerは、世界大会という大きな舞台に挑戦するために活動しています。

しかし、世界大会への出場にはマシン開発費だけではなく、渡航費、宿泊費、輸送費、展示物製作費など、多くの費用が必要になります。

私たちは高校生チームとして、自らスポンサー企業への提案活動や広報活動を行い、必要な資金を集めてきました。

活動当初はスポンサー活動の知識も経験もなく、数えきれないほどの試行錯誤を繰り返しました。しかし、その過程で私たちは技術だけではなく、コミュニケーション能力やビジネススキルも身につけることができました。

そして今、日本代表として世界大会へ挑戦する機会を得ています。

この挑戦は私たち５人だけのものではありません。

私たちが世界大会で得た経験や学びを日本に持ち帰り、次世代の子供達へ伝えていくことで、より多く人にSTEMの魅力を発信していきたいと思います。

世界の舞台で日本代表として全力を尽くすために、みなさまのご支援をどうかよろしくお願いいたします。

We are currently working towards standing on the World Stage to represent Japan. 

However, this journey is not easy. Reaching the World Finals requires far more than building a competitive race car. Travel expenses, accommodation, shipping our equipment, producing our pit display, and many other costs make competing internationally a significant financial challenge.

As a team of high school students, we have taken it upon ourselves to secure the resources needed to make this journey possible. From approaching companies for sponsorships to managing our own marketing and public relations, every step has been driven by our own initiative.

When we first began, none of us had any experience in sponsorship, fundraising, or business. We faced countless setbacks and learned through trial and error. Yet those experiences became some of our greatest lessons. Along the way, we developed not only our engineering skills, but also our communication, leadership, and business abilities.

Today, we have earned the privilege of representing Japan at the STEM Racing World Finals.

But this journey is about more than the five of us.

By bringing home the knowledge, experiences, and perspectives we gain from competing alongside teams from around the world, we hope to inspire the next generation and share the excitement and possibilities of STEM with more young people across Japan.

Your support is not simply helping us attend a competition. It is helping us create opportunities for future innovators.

現在の準備状況・Our Progress

現在、私たちは2026年10月にシンガポールで開催されるSTEM Racing World Finalsに向けて、マシンの設計・製作を進めています。

また、競技活動だけでなく、スポンサーシップの獲得や広報活動にも積極的に取り組んでいます。InstagramやTikTokでは日々の活動や学びを発信しており、「Analyze with WindBreaker（ウィンドブレイカーと分析しよう！）」という独自シリーズでは、私たちが興味を持ったテーマを深掘りし、視聴者の皆さまと共に学べるコンテンツを制作しています。

As we prepare for the STEM Racing World Finals in Singapore this October, our team is fully focused on designing, manufacturing, and refining our race car.

At the same time, our work extends far beyond engineering. We are actively pursuing sponsorships, building partnerships, and sharing our journey through our social media platforms, including Instagram and TikTok.

One of our initiatives is "Analyze with WindBreaker," a content series where we explore topics that inspire us—from engineering and technology to innovation and sustainability—and invite our audience to learn alongside us.

さらに、私たちはSTEM分野の魅力を次世代へ届ける活動にも力を入れています。

2026年4月19日には、STEM Racing Japanの支援のもと「Girls Meet STEM」を開催し、STEM分野における多様なキャリアや役割について発信しました。現在は、より多くの子どもたちにSTEMへ興味を持ってもらうため、新たなイベントやワークショップの企画も進めています。

Beyond the competition itself, we are committed to inspiring the next generation to explore STEM.

On April 19, 2026, with the support of STEM Racing Japan, we hosted "Girls Meet STEM," an event that introduced students to the diverse opportunities and career paths within STEM. We are currently planning additional workshops and outreach events to encourage even more young people to discover their passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

世界大会まで残された期間は限られていますが、設計・製造・マーケティング・資金調達のすべてに全力で取り組み、日本代表として最高の結果を残せるよう挑戦を続けています。

With only a limited amount of time remaining before the World Finals, every member of WindBreaker is working tirelessly across every aspect of the project. We are determined to represent our country with pride and achieve the very best result on the world stage.

最後に・A Final Message

私たちは、日本全国から選ばれたわずか2チームのうちの1チームとして、STEM Racing World Finalsへの挑戦権を獲得しました。

しかし、この挑戦を実現するためには、約６００万円の資金が必要です。

クラウドファンディングではまず３０万を目標にしております。しかし、これはあくまでも通過点であり、私たちの夢を叶えるためには達成率１００％の先に、200%、３００％、５００％実現を強く願い進んでいきたいと願っております。

ご支援いただいた資金は、マシン開発費だけでなく、世界大会への渡航費・宿泊費・輸送費・ピット展示製作費などに活用させていただきます。

We are incredibly proud to be one of only two teams in Japan to earn the opportunity to compete at the STEM Racing World Finals.

However, turning this opportunity into reality requires around ¥600,0000 (SGD$50,000) in funding.

Our crowdfunding campaign has an initial goal of ¥300,000. While reaching this milestone is an important first step, it is only the beginning of our journey. 

To fully realize our dream of representing Japan on the world stage, we hope to go far beyond our initial target—reaching 200%, 300%, or even 500% of our goal with the support of people who believe in our mission.

Every additional contribution allows us to invest more in our preparation and make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

The funds we raise will be used not only for race car development, but also for essential expenses such as travel, accommodation, equipment transportation, and the production of our pit display for the World Finals.

With your support, we won't simply be attending an international competition. We will be proudly representing Japan while inspiring the next generation to embrace STEM, pursue mastery, and believe in the value of taking on bold challenges.

私たちは決して特別な専門家の集まりではありません。

CAD設計も、CNC加工も、マーケティングも、スポンサー活動も、すべて未経験の状態から学び始めました。

だからこそ、挑戦することの難しさや楽しさ、そして努力を積み重ねることの価値を誰よりも理解しています。

We are not a team of experts or professionals.

When we began this project, none of us had any experience in CAD design, CNC manufacturing, marketing, or sponsorship acquisition. Every skill we have today has been learned through curiosity, perseverance, and countless hours of hard work.

Because of that, we understand both the challenges and the excitement of stepping outside your comfort zone. We know that meaningful growth comes not from instant success, but from embracing failure, learning from it, and continuing to improve.

At the World Finals, we aim not only to achieve the best result we can for Japan, but also to share a message that extends beyond the competition: the value of pursuing mastery through dedication, patience, and continuous learning.

Your support is about far more than helping us travel to Singapore.

It empowers us, as representatives of Japan, to compete on the world stage and inspire future generations by sharing the excitement and possibilities of STEM.
