📌 はじめに

私は熊本市北区で、海外から熊本を訪れる旅行者向けの宿泊施設として、2025年10月より民泊を経営してきました。現在は3棟の民泊を運営し、たくさんのゲストに熊本の魅力を伝えてきました。

📌 2026年7月28日、熊本地震の発生

2026年7月28日、激しい揺れが熊本を襲いました。10年前の熊本地震の記憶が蘇る中、多くの方が避難に困っている姿を目の当たりにし、「自分にできることは何か」を考えました。

導き出した答えは、「今ある宿泊施設を、被災された方のために即時に無償提供すること」でした。

住まいを失った方や避難生活を送る方が、少しでも安心して休める場所として受け入れを続けてまいりました。ホテルや避難所、次の住居が確定するまでの間、車中泊や過酷な避難所生活ではなく、少しでも環境の整った場所で心と体を休めていただきたいという願いからでした。

📌 直面した現実

本来であれば、海外からの観光客による宿泊収入で家賃や光熱費などの固定費をまかないながら、被災者の方々への無償提供を続ける予定でした。

しかし、地震後は観光需要が大きく落ち込み、海外からの予約も徐々に減少。現在はリピートや新規の予約がほとんどない状況になってしまいました。

📌 これからの挑戦

現在、被災された方々の次のステップが少しずつ見えつつある一方で、これから熊本が本格的な復興に向かうためには、全国から駆けつけてくださる「ボランティアの方々の力」が絶対に必要です。

ボランティアの方々が現地で活動するためには、宿泊費や交通費など多くの自己負担が伴います。私は、大変な思いをしている被災者を助けるために来てくださるボランティアの方々の「活動拠点」として、このお宿を無償で提供したいと考えています。

「この場所を絶対に閉じてはならない。ボランティアの方々が安心して眠り、明日の活力をもらえる場所を守り抜く」

その強い意志を持って、私のできる限りの支援をしていますが、個人だけで3棟の維持費を負担し続けるのには限界を迎えています。だからこそ、この活動を長期的に続けるために、皆さまのお力をお借りしたいと思い、クラウドファンディングを立ち上げました。

📌 資金の使い道

目標金額を達成することができれば、民泊3軒をフル稼働させることが可能です。皆さまからいただいたご支援は、以下の費用として大切に活用させていただきます。

• 宿を無料の避難所・ボランティア宿泊先として維持するための固定費（家賃・光熱費など）
• 被災地へ届ける支援物資の購入費用(私自身もボランティアへ参加しております)

一人でも多くの方が安心して眠れる場所を守るため、そして熊本が一日も早く元の姿を取り戻すため、1個人ではありますが、できる限りの力を尽くして支援していきたいと思っています。

Protecting a Place Where People Can Rest — Supporting Kumamoto’s Recovery Together

On July 28, 2026, a powerful earthquake struck Kumamoto. As I saw people struggling to find safe shelter, I immediately opened all three of my short‑term rental properties free of charge to evacuees. Since then, these homes have served as quiet, safe spaces where families can rest, recover, and regain strength.

However, as tourism sharply declined after the disaster, the income that normally covers rent and utilities has nearly disappeared. Maintaining three properties alone while continuing free support has reached its limit.

Yet Kumamoto’s recovery is only just beginning — and volunteers from across Japan will play a crucial role in rebuilding our community. Many volunteers must pay for transportation and lodging out of their own pockets. I want these homes to remain a free base of support for those who come to help our city.

I am launching this crowdfunding campaign so that these accommodations can continue operating as:

• Free shelter for evacuees

• Free lodging for volunteers

• A safe place where people can rest, sleep, and prepare for the next day’s efforts

Your support will be used for essential costs:

• Rent, utilities, and maintenance to keep all three homes available

• Relief supplies delivered directly to affected areas

• Operational costs to sustain long‑term volunteer support

• CAMPFIRE platform fees

I am only one person, but I am determined to protect a place where people can sleep safely — and to help Kumamoto recover as quickly as possible. If this project succeeds, volunteers will be able to stay completely free of charge, ensuring that financial barriers never prevent someone from helping.
