《2nd NextGoal 25万円に挑戦中！》

開始で10日間で目標金額10万円を達成し、その後設定した15万円のNextGoalも、中日新聞様に取材して頂いたおかげで達成することが出来ました。皆様からのご支援と温かいメッセージに心から感謝しております。

クラウドファンディングの終了日が近づいておりますが、少しでもたくさんの子供達に、質の良い教科書をたくさん届けられるように、2nd NextGoal 25万円に挑戦します！

この目標を達成することが出来た場合、当初の予定よりページの数を大幅に増やし、品質にこだわった教科書を作成することが出来ます。

ご挨拶

初めまして！私達はJ-EDCです。

J-EDCは愛知県名古屋市にある、中京大学附属中京高等学校、国際コース2年生の9人によって構成された社会貢献プロジェクトチームです。

私達は、Educational Donation for Children を理念に掲げ、貧しい国や地域で、貧困などを理由に、十分な教育を受けられていない子供達を支援することを目標に活動しています。

現在J-EDCでは、使わなくなった文房具を集めて寄付する文房具プロジェクトと、オリジナルの教科書を制作して寄付する教科書プロジェクトの、大きく分けて二つのプロジェクトを実行しています。
こちらのクラウドファンディングは教科書チームの4人が運営しており、ご支援いただいた資金は全て教科書プロジェクトに使用いたします。(文房具プロジェクトは別の地域へ物資を支援しています。)

また、このプロジェクトには、学校の先生方を始め、Bobby Sam’s Foundation 創設者のBobby様、NGO法人 Hashem Missions様などにご協力いただいています。

解決したい社会課題

ガーナ共和国東部のアダモロベ地域には、アダモロベ聖公会学校という学校があり、地域の子供達が通っています。生徒数は小学生と中学生を合わせて約1000人です。生徒たちは親の仕事の手伝いや兄弟達の世話で毎日学校に通うことが出来ず、毎日決まった人数の生徒が登校してくるわけではありません。

アダモロベの人口は約4000人で、そのうち100人が聾唖者(耳が聞こえず、話すことができない人)だと言われています。その割合は非常に高く、アダモロベ手話という独自の手話を使って、健常者と聾唖者が会話している特徴のひとつである地域です。住民は、農業や商業をして生活を営んでいます。

また、ほとんどの生徒は、勉強に必要なものを持っていないため、学校での活動に苦労しています。このアダモロベ聖公会学校は、この地域で唯一の公立学校であり、地域の非識字に歯止めをかけるために何百人もの生徒を入学させています。この学校と地域は、多くの団体に支援を求めています。

私達に出来ること

教育が行き届いていないアダモロベの現状を踏まえて、私たちは教育物資を支援します。

具体的には、「オリジナル教科書」を作成し、寄付することを考えました。「教科書」というと日本では数学や国語など学問的な内容の教材を指しますが、私たちが作ろうとしているものは、それらとは少し違います。

「教科書」というよりも「世界についてのパンフレット」というとイメージが伝わりやすいでしょうか。あまり情報の行き届いていないアダモロベの子供達に、世界の情報を知ってもらうための教材です。私たちはこれを、「オリジナル教科書」と呼んでいます。

オリジナル教科書のコンセプトは、「世界が広がる教科書」です。

文化を始めとした様々な日本の魅力と、世界の情報(気候、地図、スポーツ、文化など)を分かりやすい英語と、たくさんの写真でまとめました。

このトピックの中でどれかひとつでも子供たちに興味を持ってもらい、彼らの世界を広げる第一歩にしてもらえたらいいなと思っています。

現地への届け方

皆さんのご支援でこの「オリジナル教科書」を印刷することができたら、国際便を使って、ガーナ現地のP.O. Boxに届けます。そこから現地の教員の方がアダモロベの学校まで届けてくださることになっています。

※1000円以上のご支援をいただいた方には、返礼品として現地の子供達がこの教科書を受け取っている写真を送らせていただきます。

資金の使い道

ご支援頂いた資金は全て、教科書の印刷費に使用致します。
アダモロベ聖公会学校の生徒1人1人に私たちのオリジナル教科書を届ける為には、最低でも1000冊を印刷する必要があります。

このプロジェクトを実行するにあたって、アダモロベの子供達に何が必要か、私たちには何ができるのかをたくさん考えました。私たちはまだ高校生なのでやれることも限られていますし、このプロジェクトにおいても未熟な点が多いかもしれません。

しかし、この問題について自分たちなりに考え、クラウドファンディングを立ち上げたことは決して無駄ではなかったと思っています。それは、これを読んで下さったあなたに、ガーナのアダモロベの現状を伝えることができたからです。

あなたが次に別のところで貧困や教育の問題について耳にすることがあったとき、その問題について、今までとは違った視点を持って頂くことができると思います。このように、困っている地域の状況を知り、1人1人が問題意識を持つことが、必ず問題解決に繋がると信じています。

About Us

Hello, We are J-EDC.
We're Social Contribution Project Team from Chukyo Senior High School in Nagoya, Japan,
with 9 members in grade11.
Our ideology is Educational Donation for Children, and our goal is to support children in poor
regions who do not have access to adequate education mostly due to poverty.
We have two groups;Stationary Project for collecting stationary and Textbook Project for
making original textbooks.

In addition to the teachers at the school, Mr. Sam, the founder of Bobby Sam's Foundation, and Mr. Missions, from non-governmental organization, have been cooperating with us on this
project.

Problem and What we do

Many countries are facing the problem of poverty, but our focus is on Ghana.
In Ghana, many children cannot receive education, and don't have tools to know about the
world. However, it is essential for children to be exposed to a variety of things and to expand
their own possibilities.

The school we will be supporting is located in the region of Adamorobe, Adamorobe Anglican
School. There are about 1000 students in this school. This school is where hundreds of
students attend, which helps to put a stop to illiteracy in the community. However, the lack of
supplies is a big problem that the community and the school have to deal with.

Given the reality in Adamorobe, what we can do is to support educational supplies. Specifically, we came up with the idea of creating and donating "original textbooks". Those textbooks are
completely different from others, since they are more like Pamphlets about the World. It is
"a textbook that expands the world" written in easy English with lots of pictures and
information (about climate, map, sports, culture, etc.)

It has contents related to Japanese culture as well! 

And we hope that those original textbooks become their first step to see the world.

Progress 

Using funds we collect, we'll first print and bind the books. Then by international airmail, we'll
send them to Ghana.
Once they arrive in Ghana (P.O. Box), local teachers will deliver them to the school in
Adamolobe.

Where your money goes

We will use all funds to print and ship our textbooks.

It’ll cost 942,921 yen for 1000 textbooks. 

Our target amount of money includes the handling charge.
The number of textbooks we can print will depend on the total amount of support we receive.
The more support we receive, the more textbooks we will be able to print and deliver.

In order to carry out this project, we have thought a lot about what the children of Adamorobe need and what we can do to help them.
We are still high school students, so our ability to help is limited, and we may not have a lot of experience in this project.

However, we believe that it is not a waste of time for us to think about the issues in our own way and launch the crowdfunding project.
This is because we could tell you, the readers, about the current situation in Adamolobe,
Ghana.

The next time you hear about poverty or education issues elsewhere, we hope you will have a
