My name is Dai Yoshida. I am managing community currency in Japan. The community currency which I am managing called OMUSUBI currency [omusubi means rice ball and joint], and functions between the consumers, between consumers and an entrepreneur and between small and midsize enterprises in a biosphere as a barter medium for the purpose of promoting the exchange and mutual help inside a community or an association. The rice standard is used for the currency. The value was collateralized by the rice produced within the circle with low environmental impact. It is used in about 700 place of business in a 50-km [ in radius ] within the circle now and which attracts attention most in Japan in recent years.
