はじめに Story

　私たちＮＰＯ法人ＴＥＲＡＣＯＹＡは、令和1年12月に結成された教育系ＮＰＯ団体です。私たちは昨年から、横浜市立勝田小学校に付設されている地域のコミュニティセンターを借り、毎週土曜日と日曜日に、小中高校生に対し、無料で学習の場を提供する活動を行ってきました。活動を行うなかで、次第に運営メンバーが集まっていき、以後恒常的にこの活動を続けていくためにＮＰＯ法人を設立し、活動してまいりました。地域の小さなコミュニティーハウスでの無料学習塾をきっかけに、日本の教育を変えていく活動を全国規模で行っていくべく、日々全力で活動中です。

  "TERACOYA" is an educational non-profitable organization formed in December 2019. We have been providing a free educational opportunity to elementary, junior high and high school students every weekend at Katsuta Elementary School's community room (Yokohama, Japan).
 Our goal is to change the educational environment of Japan on a nationwide basis, doing our best starting from a small classroom in a local elementary school. In order to sustain our activity, we recrutied staffs and set up an NPO Organization.

解決したい社会課題 What we need to solve.

　いまの社会では、教育に莫大なお金がかかります。高いお金をはらって私立の学校に行き、塾に通うことは、たしかに学力の向上につながりますが、教育格差の拡大は悪化の一途をたどるのみです。このような教育のありかたは正しいものなのでしょうか？　また、多くの塾では、実績のために、ほんらい高い目標を掲げてレベルの高い高校や大学に入れるはずの生徒に対し、あえて目標を下げて「無難な」学校を選ばせるようなことが頻繁に起こっています。塾がそのような教育を行って生徒の視野がおのずと狭まり、本来あるはずだった学習意欲がそがれているようなケースに、保護者も気が付かないようなケースばかりです。教育というのは、本来このようなものなのでしょうか？

  Today, fees needed for education is increasing. It is true that an excellent education is provided if you pay enough tuition for private schools and prep-schools. However, it is also true that educational disparity has been expanding, and we need to stand up. We cannot let teachers decide which schools our children are going to aim just because for the schools' reputation.

　そもそも教育は、年齢・性別・国籍・親の収入にかかわらず、すべての人が等しく享受できなければならないものです。なおかつ、ここがもっとも大事なところなのですが、教育は、生徒一人一人が自分の興味関心に応じて自由に学ぶ機会を提供することを第一の目標とすべきであり、教育を、お金を持っている人だけが参入できるようなものにしてはなりません。また教育は学校や塾など特定の場や人間のみが担うものではなく、保護者や地域の人間が全体で担うべきものです。

  Every human beings have the equal rights to study no matter their age, sex, nationality nor income. We believe children should have the freedom to study what they are motivated to, and education needs to be accessible for all, not only for those that have the economical advantage.
Education also needs to be supported by the local society, not only by the teachers in school.

　まず私たちは、地域のコミュニティセンターを借りて教育の場とすることで、無料あるいは超低価格で通える新しい塾の創出を達成しました。ここで何を勉強するかは生徒しだいであり、各生徒の学力に応じてその都度学習内容を考えていきます。夏休みの宿題に一緒に取り組むのも、受験勉強をするのも、一歩進んだ学習内容を先取りするのも構いません。押し付けられた勉強ではなく、生徒が自由に学びたいことを学ぶ場を重んじます。また、通塾の時間が固定されているわけでもなく、月1回だけで通うのでもいいし、各生徒の状況に応じて柔軟な使い方ができます。

  We, Teracoya, created an innovative envirionment that provides educational service in low price. Children can visit us whenever they want and whenever they need. We provide tailored class for every children, supporting their homeworks, preparation for tomorrow's class or even advanced studies for admission exams.

　私たちはこの活動を1年近く続けてきましたが、そのなかで多くの保護者や学校関係者の理解を経て、ＮＰＯ法人の結成にまで至りました。コミュニティーセンターの館長、学校の校長先生などといった方々にも熱い支援・協力を賜りました。在籍生徒数は累計で小学生20人、中学生・高校生も20人以上にのぼります。また運営スタッフも、大学生や社会人を含め10名以上に達し、広報や、教室運営等、幅広く活動を行っております。そうした活動ももちろん運営する人間が一方的に行うことはなく、つねに小中高校生たちとともに、お互いのアイデアをぶつけながら進めてまいりました。令和初年度夏には地元の小学校のお祭りに出店し、総計30名近い小中高校生とその保護者、大学生・社会人のボランティアスタッフ等が一致団結して活動しました。これこそが本当の意味での「すべての人がかかわる」教育なのではないでしょうか。

  Supported by the kindness and understandings of the local community, we have sustained our activity for an year and set up a non-profitable organization. Today nearly 50 students are studying with us, supported by our staffs whom are university students and company employees.
All of our activities such as promotion and management have developed through discussion between students and staffs. Last summer our students and staffs opened up a temporary shop when participating in a local festival, and learned that everyone's participation and interaction is the essence of education.

このプロジェクトで実現したいこと Our goal through this project.

　現在は、新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大状況をうけ、学校のみならず地域のコミュニティーセンターが閉鎖されてしまい、本活動が一時的に中断しております。終息後の再開に向け、全力で取り組んでまいります。まず、このような学習の場を提供するにあたって、教材の印刷・準備費等、まとまった資金が必要です。生徒数が増加しているため、活動を恒常的に行っていくためにも、運営資金が必要となります。また、今後はこのような活動を他地域・他の施設でも行っていきたいと考えていますが、ポスター・ビラの作成・印刷や学習用具の準備などある程度の初期費用が必要です。ＮＰＯ法人化により寄付金でそれらの活動の運営をよりスムーズに行っていきます。

  Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our service has been forced to stop because not only the schools, but also all local comunity centers has been shut. In order to restart our service as soon as the classes reopen, funding is needed to prepare for the class while number of Teracoya students are increasing.
Funds will be used to prepare class materials, promotional flyers and expanding our service to other needing communities.

　さらにすすんで、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大下で、自宅にいながらもオンラインで学習を続けられるように、オンラインレッスンのプラットフォームの作成も進めていきたいと考えています。このプラットフォームにおいては、登録したスタッフ・講師が自らの得意分野を生かして授業や学習相談などをオンライン上で行い、生徒はそのなかから自分に合ったものを選ぶような形で、学習の場を提供したく存じます。これであれば、遠方に在住している人でも、日本・世界のどこにいても授業を受けたり、質問・相談を気軽に受け付けることができます。

  Furthermore, we are developing an online platform to deliver our educational service to the children staying at home while shools are closed. Our staffs will not only provide classes with their expertise, but also personal advices to all children who need educational support will be provided.

クラウドファンディングについて Donation summary

リターン What we return to you.

3,000円の支援：2-3か月に一度など、定期的に本活動の状況をメールにて具体的にご報告いたします。運営側のみならず、生徒・保護者の声等も掲載いたします。

30,000円の支援：上記メールでの活動報告に加え、オンラインサービスＺｏｏｍ等を用いて活動報告の場を設けます。リンクをお送りいたしますので、オンライン報告会に参加していただき、そこで実際の活動状況を報告を行い、随時ご意見・ご質問等を賜ります。

最後に Finally

　私たちは、すでに資金のない状態から（自腹を切りながら）本活動を1年近くにわたり続けてきました。今後も恒常的に本活動を継続し、規模を拡張していくため、多くの方のご支援をお願いしたく存じます。

  We have been delivering educational service to the ones who needed for an year solely depending to our personal investments, and today we appreciate your kind support to sustatin the project.

  Currently, 24 elementary, 10 junior high and 20 high school students are gaining educational service in Teracoya. Our 11 staffs are university students and company employees, supporting the children with joy and pride.

今後のスケジュール Our plan after pandemic.

　新型コロナウイルス感染拡大状況が落ち着き、勝田小学校コミュニティハウスが使えるようになった段階で、毎週土曜日・日曜日の現場での活動を即刻再開いたします。また現在ＺｏｏｍやＹｏｕＴｕｂｅを使って行っているオンラインでの活動も継続いたします。クラウドファンディングは5月31日をもっていったん終了とさせていただき、6月にいままでの活動報告をさせていただきたいと存じます。

　また私たちは本活動を別の地域のコミュニティセンター等でも行うべく、鋭意邁進していきます。本活動を他地域にも広げていく所存です。

 Weekend classes in Katsuta Elementary School's community room will re-start as soon as permission is given by the local government.
Online classes will continue after the pandemic, and also we are willing to expand our project to other communities wherever needed.
 This crowdfunding project will conclude in 31 May 2020, and we are looking forward to report you about the details in June.
