Looks like the previous report was not uploaded. I apologize for sending 2 reports at once!

Time flies and it's the end of June. Tokyo alert has been lifted and the lights are back on the streets. I imagine everyone has started a 'new life style' now.

This project was published on April 27th. A good friend of mine asked me 'Let's give it a try? I believe people will help you!', and that's how it started. Before applying, we needed to edit script with photos, layout, return's details, and to translate everything in English...etc. It was time & energy consuming. I was making myself busy with delivery, If it wasn't for her, I must have been given up as I faced those workload.  I was scared to stop being busy because stopping myself for a second felt like opening a door for anxiety.

So her commitment helped me a lot, and she has a full time job too!!! I cannot thank her enough. Our effort paid off and our project was successfully published on April 27th. We received warm supports from Japan and oversea!

It gave me opportunities to contact long lost friends, and I received so much encouragement from them. My highly respectable tutor from my student days back in Scotland sent me support even though he has some similar projects among his friends that he might need to support.

Friends who have kids sent me support.

A friend who inserted an envelope through my shop's door.

3 days left.

What do I do with the support money? I imagine you'd like to know. As nobody knows when exactly this virus leaves us alone, in June Tokyo has announced 'Tokyo alert', then I had very little customers. After the alert was lifted, thankfully the sale has gone back to 80% compared to the previous year.

I believe all of us have experienced some sort of changes in each work place, at home, before Covid 19 and after Covid 19. And those changes vary in each one of us. Not only in the social life, but also in our way of life, our value on things, the way of spending time, the way we perceive our future.

I have experienced 'changes' through this period, just like riding a roller coaster. They were shifts in business activity, my emotional inventory 'Why did I want to open Miki's in the first place?', and my pursuit of the answer to this 'What is really important to me?' During this time, I heard news of other businesses shutting down.

Miki's cafe was luckily re-opened, thanks to my supporters. I appreciate so much for the love and support I received. This project is 'return based', just like reserved tickets. Those returns will arrive to supporters after the project ends. I'm afraid some friends in abroad are not able to receive as much as people who live close to Miki's cafe.

What I could promise instead is that I'll keep on being positive and continue to sustain Miki's. By doing so, I'm able to carry on connecting people to people. The funding will be mostly used for the continuous challenge. I was lucky enough to celebrate my 5th anniversary on June 15th. I'm now 6th grader, and next year will be in junior high school! I promise to continue putting my full efforts into building relations with the community and people.

The project has 3 days to live now. I appreciate your continuous love and support. Thank you!!!!
