スカイツリーの高さって？

今回のお花見動画の撮影、最後は隅田川の千本桜でした。

バックに見えるのはスカイツリー。

What is the height of the Sky Tree?

The last time I shot the cherry blossom viewing video was Senbonzakura on the Sumida River.

You can see the Sky Tree in the background.

高さ日本一の電波塔です！

高いのは知ってても何メートルだったかな？

そういう人も多いんじゃないでしょうか？

私なんかは何回聞いても忘れちゃって、、

とっても覚えやすい方法があるんです！

浅草特集を撮影の際に人力車のお兄さんに教えて貰えました。

It is the tallest radio tower in Japan!

How many meters was it even if I knew it was high?

I think there are many people like that.

No matter how many times I hear it, I forget it ...

Here's an easy way to remember.

When I was shooting the Asakusa special feature, I was told by a rickshaw brother.

東京の事をかつては江戸と言っていました。

「江」「戸」という字、両方とも海岸や岸辺につく地名です。

この浅草も「浅い草」が生えている湿地帯だったのです。

Tokyo was once called Edo.

The letters "E" and "Do" are both place names on the coast and shore.

This Asakusa was also a wetland with "shallow grass".

そこを港町として開拓して行ったのが江戸幕府。

江戸時代より以前は、浅草より西側が陸地でした。

今で言う西東京エリア、かつては「武蔵の国」と言っていたそう。

そう言えば、西東京や埼玉には「武蔵」ってつく地名が多いかも？

The Edo Shogunate pioneered it as a port town.

Before the Edo period, the land was on the west side of Asakusa.

The West Tokyo area, which we now call, was once called "Musashi no Kuni".

By the way, there may be many place names with "Musashi" in West Tokyo and Saitama.

スカイツリーの高さ、この武蔵から来てるんですよ。

武蔵=6・3・4、そうなんです！634mなんですね。

取材をしてると色々と勉強になります。

日本の歴史や成り立ち、本当に知らない事だらけ。

動画作りをきっかけに私たちも勉強です。

そして忘れかけている大切な事なんかも動画に収めていけたらと取り組んでます。

The height of the Sky Tree comes from this Musashi.

Musashi = 6, 3, 4, that's right! It's 634m.

I will study a lot when I interview.

The history and origins of Japan are full of things that you really don't know.

We are also studying while making videos.

And I want to keep important things that I tend to forget in the video.
