Lakeside International Academy代表の横山です。
LAKESIDE 設立前は他業界で海外とのやり取りの多い業務に従事していました。LAKESIDE設立時期に3歳児・５歳児の子育てをしており、何校かのプリスクールに子供達を通園させておりました。そこで感じたことは、専用建物や専用の園庭がなく、子供達の成長環境に果たして相応しいのか？衛生面や安全面に気になる点が多く、又、不安に感じる小さな保育室に異年齢混合で生活させているため年齢や成長に応じた細やかな目配りが出来ていないのではないか？スタッフの幼児指導に関しての習熟度に不安を感じると言った事でした。そこで、自分でプリスクールを運営し、（子供達が成長する環境として相応しい園作り）を目標に、起業し、コンセプトを固めていきました。LAKESIDEは、上記の不安や不満を出来るだけ解消し、

・明るい日差しが降り注ぐ園

・専用建物・専用園庭を保有し、裸足で自由に走り回れる環境

・専門的知識を持つ職員（研修や資格取得の補助など）

・安全面や衛生面にも最大限配慮

そして始まったのがLAKESIDE INTERNATIONAL ACADEMYです。それから15年間、一時は認可保育園と現LAKESIDE INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY、さらにフィリピン校も経営し、様々な経験をしてまいりました。子供達は１００人いれば１００人の個性があり、皆素晴らしい可能性を秘めていることも頭ではなく肌で感じながら過ごしてきました。出来るだけ子供達、そして保護者に寄り添い、ニーズに対応しながら（未来を担う子供達の背中に様々な体験を積んであげたい）を念頭に今も奮闘しております。

Nice to meet you. My name is Tadashi Yokoyama, the CEO of Lakeside International Academy. Before establishing the company, I worked in other industries in jobs that involved a lot of interaction with overseas countries. When Lakeside was established, I was raising 3 years old and 5 years old child and send them to international preschool in Japan. However, there were few concerns such as hygiene and safety, staff's proficiency in teaching young children and size of field. Children of different ages are living together in a small nursery room that makes them feel uneasy, they may not be able to pay close attention to their age and growth. So, I decided to start my own business (creating an environment suitable for children to grow up in). LAKESIDE eliminates the above concerns and dissatisfaction as much as possible such as...

・A garden bathed in bright sunlight

・We have a private building and garden, so children can freely run around with barefoot

・Staff with specialized knowledge (assistance with training and qualification acquisition, etc.)

・Maximum consideration is given to safety and hygiene

And so we began LAKESIDE INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY. For the past 15 years, I managed a licensed nursery school, the current LAKESIDE INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY, and a school in the Philippines, and gained a variety of experiences. I have learned through my experience that, every 100 children have 100 unique personalities, and that they all have great potential. We are still striving to be as close to children and their parents as possible and respond to their needs, keeping in mind that we want to provide a variety of experiences for the children who will lead the future.

LSIAは、千葉県にある、英語・音楽・スポーツ・体験学習など全てを完全英語環境にて学ぶプリスクールです。専用の建物を持ち、裸足で安全に走り回れる、太陽の降り注ぐ専用園庭を保有する全国的に見ても珍しいスクールです。また、独自のカリキュラを持ち、３歳児から５歳児までが年齢や成長に応じて無理なく自然に英語に親しみ、異文化に触れ、日本人としてのアイデンティティを大切にしながら、異文化に対して尊敬や憧れを持てるような日々を過ごせるように工夫されています。英語だけではなく、P.E（体育）やMusic、そして最も大切にしていることがExperiance（体験）です。幼少期に、様々な体験をすることで、大きな成長のきっかけや動機付けをすることが出来ると確信しますが、昨今の風潮では危険からは遠ざけ、より安全、よりリスクの低減へと舵を切る傾向が目立ちます。Lakesideでは、学びや成長のきっかけを 失うことの無いように細心の注意を払いながら日々様々な（Wow!!）に出会えるように工夫しております。日常の園生活は勿論、Easter Egg EventやSports Day、La Tropicana（夏祭り）、Halloween Party、Christmas Partyなど一年を通して子供たちが楽しめる沢山のイベントを開催しております。その他にも夏休みや冬休みにはSummer/Winter Schoolというプログラムをやっております。

English ver.
We are English ONLY preschool in Chiba. All the classes (Music, P.E., Dance etc.) are in English and we have our own curriculums that any ages from 3 to 5 years old children can learn English while retaining Japanese culture. LSIA has its own building and a private garden where children can run freely around with barefoot under the sun. We think that the important thing is not just ENGLISH, but it's P.E., music, and most importantly "EXPERIENCE". We believe that experiencing a variety of experiences during childhood can provide opportunities and motivations for great growth. However, in the current trend is to steer children away from danger and toward safer and more risk-reducing strategies. In Lakeside, we take great care to ensure that children don't lose opportunities for learning and discover new things (Wow!!) every day. Throughout the year, LSIA holds many events that children can enjoy such as the Easter Egg Event, Sports Day, La Tropicana (summer festival), Halloween Party, and Christmas Party. We also have a program called Summer/Winter School for alumni to join LSIA events.

Lakeside Eventとは？(About LSIA Event)

Japanese ver.
La Tropicanaは、世界の料理に舌鼓を打ちながら子供達のperformanceを鑑賞したり、スタッフによるfire danceなどをお楽しみいただくSummer Festivalになっております。また2023年はイベント最後に地域初のLED Sky Lanternの打ち上げも開催いたしました。

English ver.
La Tropicana is one of the biggest summer festival in LSIA. There are many different kinds of food booths where children and their families can try varieties of national dishes while enjoying the kids' performance and also the fire dance performance by teachers. In 2023, we held the very first LED Sky Lantern event.

Summer/Winter Schoolとは？

Japanese ver.
サマー・ウィンタースクールは年長さんから小学6年生向けのプログラムです。夏は小学校の休みに合わせ、
3週間に渡り、週ごとにテーマを決めてアクティビティをします。2023年のSummer Schoolでは、山や川と親しむといったテーマで栃木県の茂木にてラフティングに行ったり、海というテーマの週ではスタッフによるマグロ解体SHOWや海のフィールドへキャンプ行くなど子供たちが英語環境で友達と共に最高の夏の思い出が作れるイベントが盛り沢山となっております。

English ver.
Summer/Winter school is a program that is made for the final year of kindergarten to grade 6. During summer, we have three weeks of activities with each week having a different theme. For instance, in the 2023 Summer School, children went rafting in Motegi (Tochigi Prefecture), with the theme of getting acquainted with "mountains and rivers". During the week with the theme of the "sea", the children had a tuna dissection show by the staff and went camping in a sea field. There are many events where you can make the best summer memories with your friends in an English-speaking environment.

Japanese ver. 
LSIAでは10時から16時までの預かりになっております。しかし、最近では多くの家庭が共働きをしており、延長保育のニーズが多様化しています。幼少期から様々な体験ができ、英語を身につけることができるLakesideへ通わせたいと考えられる方は沢山おられるのですが、お仕事の関係でLakesideへは通わさせることが出来ないと言った声を多数お聞きします。そこで、預かり時刻を早い時間から・・・夕方はもう少し遅い時間まで延長することで忙しい家庭を手助け出来ると信じています。又、通常保育の延長なので同じ環境で保育を受けられる為、保護者の方も安心してお子様を預けられます。LSIAでは、普段の保育施設の他に園庭にもう一棟子供達が自由に遊べるログハウスを設置し、お父様やお母様、そして子供等が安心して利用できる環境を提供したいと考えております。その園舎には子供達が遊びを想像出来る様々な用具を用意し、無限の発想を促すエリアとしても活用できる場所にして行きたいと考えております。

Currently, LSIA operates from 10:00 to 16:00. However, these days, many families have both working parents, and the need for extended childcare is increasing. There are many voices saying that they want to send their children to Lakeside but many say that they cannot send their children due to work commitments. Therefore, we believe that we can help busy families by extending the childcare hours from earlier in the day to a little later in the evening. Additionally, since this is an extension of regular childcare, parents can leave their children with peace of mind as they can send childcare in the same environment. We would like to make a place that children can use as an area to encourage endless ideas.

このプロジェクトで実現したいこと

現在運営しているインターナショナル幼稚園の園庭に、子供達が自由に遊べるログハウスを設置したいと思っています。又、このログハウスを設置する事で延長保育を現実化したいと思っております。

English ver.
We would like to install a log house in our facility to provide a new environment for children to play freely plus, to help those families that are in need of extended-hours childcare. 

プロジェクト立ち上げの背景

Japanese ver.
このログハウスを活用して、日中は子供達の遊びの創造の場として、早朝や夕刻は延長保育の場として活用出来る為、子供達だけでは無く、利用する保護者の方々…しいては地域住民の皆様にとっても有効活用頂ける場となる事を確信しています。忙しい家庭を手助けするために、幼稚園のお預かり時間を延長することが必要だと感じました。普段の保育施設の他に、子供達が自由に遊べる場所を提供することで、子供達の成長をサポートしたいと考えております。

This log house can be used as a creative place for children to play during the day, and as a place for extended childcare in the early mornings and evenings, so not only the children but also the parents who use it will get benefit from it. We believe that it will be a place that will be effectively used by local residents too. In order to help busy families, we felt it was necessary to extend the childcare hours at the kindergarten. 

実施スケジュール

Japanese ver.
ログハウスの設置予定は来年度からで、完成までに約2ヶ月を予定しています。現在、関係者との協議を進めており、必要な資金を調達するためのクラウドファンディングを始めました。設置後は子供たちが安全に遊べるよう定期的なメンテナンスを行い、長くご利用いただけるようにします。

The log house is scheduled to be installed next year and is expected to take approximately two months to complete. We are currently in discussions with related parties and have started crowdfunding to raise the necessary funds. After installation, we perform regular maintenance to ensure children can play safely and ensure that the equipment can be used for a long period of time.

集めた資金は、ログハウスの設置・装備のために使用します。子供たちが安心して遊べる環境を整えるため、快適で安全な施設を提供するために必要な費用に充てます。皆様のご支援によって、子供たちに快適な環境を提供できるよう取り組んでいきます。
