こころとからだを整える占い師の岡田龍依です。養生の観点から無理をしない生き方をアドバイスさせていただいています。カード作家としては主にコーヒーカード・ルノルマンカードを作ってきました。

今回、私オリジナルのタロットを形にしたいという夢を実現するべく、このクラウドファンディングを開始いたしました。

 The “Tarot of Renri” is my original oriental tarot card. There is beauty and mystery in the designs and colors, which incorporate Eastern aesthetics. With this crowdfunding, I hope to complete to producing the tarot cards and bring them to many people.

 I am Rui Okada, a fortune teller who focuses on the activities of the human mind and body. I give advice on how to live without overworking from the viewpoint of oriental hygiene. As a card artist, I have mainly made coffee cards and Lenormand cards.

 I have started this crowdfunding campaign to realize my dream of creating my original tarot cards.

1. オリエンタルな色調
連理のタロットは、白・青・赤を基調としたオリエンタルな色調で、東洋の伝統と神秘を融合させた独特のデザインです。
カードには、この色調は、連理の枝のテーマに沿って、愛と絆、調和と平和、変化と成長を表現しています。

2. スタンダードサイズのフルデッキ
連理のタロットは、使いやすいスタンダードサイズのフルデッキです。
このタロットは、78枚のカードがすべて揃っていて、大アルカナと小アルカナの両方を含んでいます。
カードのサイズは、約7.0cm×12.0cmで、手に馴染みやすく、シャッフルもしやすいです。カードの裏面は、連理の枝の模様が施されています。

3. 連理のタロットのテーマ 
連理のタロットのテーマとなる連理の枝とは、二本の木が根元で結ばれて一つの木になる現象です。連理の枝は、古来から中国や日本で、夫婦の象徴や永遠の愛の証とされてきました。連理のタロットでは、連理の枝は、人と人との関係や運命の糸を表しています。連理の枝は、カードの中に隠されたメッセージやヒントとなります。

1. Oriental color scheme

 “Tarot of Renri” are uniquely designed in oriental color usages which are white, blue, and red, blending oriental tradition and mystery.

 Therefore, they represent love, bonding, harmony, peace, change and growth, in keeping with the themes of the “Renri” branches which are symbols of eternal love and harmony.

2. Standard-size full deck

 The Tarots are standard-size full deck, because they are easy to use.

 This Tarots contain 78 cards and includes both the Major and Minor Arcana.

 The cards measure approximately 7.0 cm x 12.0 cm, making them comfortable in the hand and easy to shuffle. The backs of the cards are decorated with the pattern of “Renri” branches.

3. Theme of the “Tarot of Renri” 

 The theme of them is based on “Renri” branches the phenomenon of two trees joining at the base to form a single tree. Since ancient China and Japan, the phenomenon has been considered a symbol of married couples and eternal love. In the tarots, notably they represent human relationships and destinies. And they give messages or hints to us.

「連理のタロット」は、中国の伝統的な文化である「連理」という概念をモチーフにしています。この概念は、2つの異なるものが結びついて1つのものになることを表しています。

この言葉は、中唐の詩人・白居易の『長恨歌』に由来します。この詩には、玄宗皇帝と楊貴妃が七夕の夜に愛を誓い合った言葉として、「天に在りては願わくは比翼の鳥と作り、地に在りては願わくは連理の枝と為らん」という一節があります。

比翼の鳥とは、二羽で一体となって飛ぶ鳥のことで、連理の枝と同じく、夫婦や男女の愛や絆の強さを表現するたとえです。連理の枝は、日本では古くから結婚式や夫婦の記念日などに使われる言葉として親しまれています。

このタロットカードは、人々が自分自身や周りの人々との関係性を深め、自己理解を深めることを目指しています。

What are “Renri” branches?

 The Tarots are inspired by traditional Chinese culture. Their idea was that peace would be the union of two different things into one.

 The term comes from "Song of Everlasting Regret" by the Chinese Tang Dynasty poet Bai Juyi. In this poem, Emperor Xuanzong and his most favorite mistress Yang Kwei-Fei pledged their love to each other, and the words " In the sky they swore to become an imaginary bird with each eye and each wing of male and female. On the earth they swore to become an imaginary tree combined with each branch of male and female(“Renri” branches).”

 The tree is a metaphor that expresses the strength of the love and bond between a husband and wife or a man and a woman. And also, the word "Renri" has long been used idiomatically in Japan for weddings and anniversaries of married couples.

This tarot card aims to help people deepen their relationships and self-understandings with themselves and those around them.

タロットをはじめて約2年、一般的なタロットの絵柄にずっと違和感を持ち続けていました。タロットを占術のひとつに加えるなら、オリジナルのタロットを使いたいと思っていました。

「連理のタロット」が生まれたのはそんな理由です。

 For about two years since I started tarot, I have always felt uncomfortable with the common tarot patterns. If I was going to add tarot as one of my divination techniques, I wanted to use original tarots.

This is the reason why the "Tarot of Renri" was born.

このプロジェクトを始めたきっかけは、私自身がタロットに魅了されたからです。タロットは、人生の様々な局面に対するヒントやアドバイスをくれる素晴らしいツールだと思います。

私は、タロットをやるからには「オリジナルタロットを自分で作りたい！」という夢を持っていました。
しかし、その夢を実現するには、どうすればいいのか？という問題にぶつかりました。タロットカードのデザインや印刷、配送などの費用や手間がかかります。また、タロットカードには、深い意味や象徴が込められています。
私は、ただカードを作るだけではなく、その意味や象徴を表現したいと思っていました。そこで、私は、東洋の伝統と神秘を融合させた独特のデザインのタロットカードを考えました。

このタロットカードを皆様にお届けするために、私はクラウドファンディングに挑戦しています。

 I will use the funds raised for the following purposes, costs of their productions, returns to the supporters and CAMPFIRE commission.

 I started this project because of my own fascination with tarots. I think tarots are wonderful tools that give us hints and advice on various aspects of life.

 I had a dream to create an original tarot deck. Because I do tarot readings, I wanted to make my own cards.

 However, I was faced with the problem of how to make this dream comes true. Making the original cards costs a lot of money and takes a lot of times to design, print, and deliver to the customers. In addition, the tarots contain deep meanings and the symbolism of divination.

 I wanted to express those meanings and symbolism, not JUST make cards. Therefore, I came up with a uniquely designed tarot cards that combine oriental tradition and mystery.

 In order to bring these tarot cards to you, I am trying my hand at crowdfunding.
 I believe that some of you may be able to help me with this project.
