バンコクとニューヨークに在住経験があり、家族６人の健康を守りながら現地のママ友と母国料理レシピの交換で交流をとり親睦を深めました。現在は、FPの資格を活かし日本企業の保険会社に正社員として勤める傍ら、家族の健康を意識した料理作りと親の介護、孫の世話など家内の仕事にも意欲的に動いています。趣味は料理と健康意識からマラソンを始め、初トライはホノルルマラソンフル完走。マラソンをきっかけに、ガイドランナーやSNSを通して健康相談など社会貢献を持つようになり、また、環境保護や障害児支援などのボランティア活動をしています。Instagramフォロー数3万人で上昇中。挑戦し続けるのが好きで、頑張る方への応援、背中を押して応援ができるFMラジオのパーソナリティを毎週務めてます。

She has lived in Bangkok and New York, where she deepened her friendship with local mothers by exchanging recipes of her mother country's cuisine while protecting the health of her family of six. Currently, while working as a full-time employee at a Japanese insurance company utilizing her FP qualification, she is also actively involved in her family's health-conscious cooking, caring for her parents, and taking care of her grandchildren and other domestic duties. Her hobbies include cooking and health consciousness, which led her to start running marathons, and her first try was completing the full Honolulu Marathon. Marathon led her to have social contributions such as guide runners and health counseling through social networking sites, as well as volunteer activities such as environmental protection and support for children with disabilities. 30,000 Instagram followers and rising. I am a weekly FM radio personality who likes to keep challenging myself and can support those who are trying their best, push back and cheer them on.

＊どうしてコンテストに出たいと思ったのか。

2001年9月11日は私はニューヨークに住んでいました。その年の8月16日、日本の広島原爆の記事を読んで間もない時の出来事で、胸がギューとなりました。どちらも一瞬にして地獄の空に変わり、あたり一面黒く焼き焦げて、亡くなった人や悲しみの叫びでいっぱいになったこと。そして多くの人びとが、後遺症に苦しんでいること。今ここに同じことが起こったとしたら、私は無事に生き抜くことができるのだろうか？、、、。

9.11ワールドトレードセンター爆破事件では、大切な友人、子供のお友達だちの家族、尊敬していた上司や先輩などが、犠牲になりました。たくさん亡くなってとてもショックをうけました。私は寄り添ってあげることしかできませんでした。

私は子供が4人、当時一歳、幼稚園、小学校、中学生でした。未知の土地で日々夫婦と頑張って守って生活している中、その日から目の当たりにしたことで、命の大切さが身にしみてよく分かりました。家族が6人の命がなくなることも、おかしなかった、くらいの事件でした。幸いに命は落とさなかったですが、家に帰れない状況で言葉もわからなく、何かに襲われた可能性もなくはなかったです。語学がわからなく、何もしゃべれず、ニューヨークのことも何もわからない中、その夜を家族と一緒にいることができましたのは、これは自分の力ではなくてニューヨークが守ってくれたからと思います。恩はどうしてもニューヨークで返したいです。いろんなコンテストがある中で、ニューヨークがベースになるクィーン オブ ザ ワールドで世界の平和を願いたいことを決め、日本のミセスコンテストから挑戦して参り、現在、ここに至っております。

社会貢献する女性同士が繋がり、アジアからの資源やインスピレーションを活用して、私にとって大きな影響をくれたニューヨークに、恩返しができるのはクイーン オブ ザ ワールドの挑戦しかないと思っています。絶対にここから発信していくこと、その気持ちがとても強いので、ニューヨークに行ってクラウンを取ります。

Why did you want to enter the contest?

On September 11, 2001, I was living in New York City. On August 16 of that year, not long after I read about the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, Japan, my heart sizzled. Both were instantly transformed into hellish skies, blackened and scorched all around, filled with cries of loss and grief. Many people are still suffering from the aftereffects. If the same thing were to happen here and now, would I be able to survive? ,.

In the 911 World Trade Center bombing, my dear friends, family members of my children's friends, respected bosses and seniors were killed. I was very shocked to see so many people lost their lives. All I could do was to be there for them.

I had four children, one year old at the time, kindergarten, elementary school, and junior high school. While I was living in an unknown land with my husband and wife, doing my best to protect them on a daily basis, what I witnessed from that day onwards made me understand the importance of life. It was such an incident that the loss of six lives in my family was not strange. Fortunately, I did not lose my life, but it was not impossible that I could have been attacked by something because I could not go home and did not understand the language. I think the fact that I was able to stay with my family that night despite not understanding the language, not being able to speak anything, and not knowing anything about New York was not due to my own strength, but because New York protected me. I really want to repay the favor in New York. Among various contests, I decided to enter the New York-based Queen of the World contest to wish for world peace, and I have challenged myself from the Japanese Mrs. contest, and here I am now.

I believe that the Queen of the World challenge is the only way for me to give back to New York, a city that has had a great influence on me, by connecting women who contribute to society and by utilizing resources and inspiration from Asia. I will definitely send the message from here, and I feel very strongly about it, so I will go to New York and take the crown.

＊プラットフォーム 

私の名前は大喜裕子といいます。日本語で「大喜」とは、「大きな喜び」という意味です。その名の通り、私のライフミッションは、人々の生活に喜びと笑顔をもたらすことです

三つの印象的な出来事がインスピレーションになっています。

一つは、タイに住んでいた時の出来事です。

私は孤児院でボランティアをしていました。タイ語はあまり話せませんでしたが、折り紙や日本の食、クラフト、塗り絵を通してコミュニケーションを取ることができました。４歳の女の子レベッカという子がいました。彼女は笑うこともせず、距離を置いていました。タイ語は話せませんでしたが、私が何度か訪れていると、だんだん心を開き、私の膝の上に乗ってくれらようになり、笑顔になっていきました。ただそばに寄り添うことで彼女の顔に笑顔をもたらすことができた。私の喜びになりました。

また別の印象的な出来事は、私がニューヨークに住んでいて９１１が起こったことでした。友人たちが家族を亡くしました。彼らの絶望を感じました。でも慰める言葉も見つかりませんでした。来る日も来る日も私はハグをして、一緒に泣きました。彼らに少しずつ笑顔が戻って来ました。私がしたのはただ寄り添ったということです。　　

そして２０２２年にはホノルルマラソンで走りました。マラソン自体初めてでした。痛みを押してフィニッシュラインを超えたとき、私は人生で最大の笑顔になりました。私のすぐ後ろでフィニッシュラインをクロスした目の不自由な方がいました。彼は一人で走っていない、ことに気づきました。すぐそばにいたのはラニング・ガイドで、フルマラソンの始終寄り添って走っていたのです。完走タイムから見ても凄いことです。二人は大きな喜びと笑顔を共有していました。　

それで私は自分の使命に気づいたのです。目の見えない方々、障害を持つ方々、一人では走れない方々のラニング・ガイドになりたい、と。

私の特別なスキルはずっと、ただ寄り添うことで困難を抱えた人たちに大きな喜びと笑顔をもたらすという事でした。私はマラソンに大好きになりました。そしてもし、目の見えない方に寄り添って走るのであれば、彼らの目になり、大きな喜びと笑顔を共有できるなら、私は、昨日より幸せな今日を作ることができます。

Run Together, Smile Togetherが私のプラットフォームになりす。

Platform

My name is Yuko Oki. In Japanese, “Oki” means “Big Joy”. Just like my name, /my life mission/ is to bring big joy and smile /to people’s lives.

Three events inspired me.　　

One is when I lived in Bangkok. I was volunteering at orphanage. I couldn’t speak Thai, but I was still able to communicate through origami, Japanese foods, crafts, and drawing. There was a 4 year old girl Rebecca, who didn’t smile, and kept a distance. But after my few visits, she started to open up, sat on my lap, and smiled. I was able to put smile on her face. All I did was to stay by her side.  

Another event is when I lived in New York, 911 happened. A few of my friends lost their families. I felt despair. But I couldn’t find any comforting words. Day after day, I gave them hugs and cried together. They started to get their smile back. All I did was to stay by their sides.

Finally, in 2022, I ran a Honolulu marathon- my first time running a marathon ever! I pushed through the pain, and when I crossed the finish line, I made the biggest smile in my life. There was a blind runner right behind me also crossing the line. I noticed that he wasn’t alone. Right beside him was a running guide, who accompanied him all the way. They were sharing a big joy and smiles together.

That’s when I realized my calling. I want to become a running guide for blind people. My special skill has always been to bring big joy and smiles to people with difficulty by just staying by their sides. I I can run closely with blind people, become their eyes, and share big joy and smiles, I can make today happier than yesterday.  

"Run Together", "Smile Together" will be my platform.

＊このプロジェクトで実現したいこと、クラウンを取ったらなをしたいか

世界大会でグランプリを受賞し、「世界の挑戦者」として社会貢献活動することです！

背中を押して応援してしていく、世界平和を伝えていくうえで、今の私には多くの人に耳を傾けてもらえる影響力はクラウンを取るしかないと考えました。

■プラットフォームのタイトルは「Run Together, Smile Together」です。人生はあきらめそうになる瞬間があります。だからこそ私は視覚障害者の他、病気やメンタルヘルス、依存症など直面している人と、サポーターとで、コミュニティーを作って一緒に走りたいです。マラソンを完走したときの大きな喜びと達成感を思い出すことで、眠っている強さを発揮してくれると確信しています。

.■ 私は、ソーシャルメディアは前向きになれるのための強力なツールだと確信しています。私はインスタグラムで3万人以上のポジティブなオンライン・コミュニティを作っているので、そこで感謝の気持ちを実践し、ページェントの価値観を広めています。これからもこのプラットフォームを使って、私の旅を共有し、行動を鼓舞していきたいと思っています。

■平和な世界になるよう、事実に学び知り考え、そしてたくさんの人に伝えていくことから始めたいです。そして、趣味のマラソンでホノルルマラソンをフルで走ったことで、視覚障害者の伴走をしたり、他の障害をもつ人達と走ったりと、スタートからフィニッシュへ続く長い道程を、温かい心と笑顔でブラインドランナーを支えたいです

■ 健康になるために取り組むことができます。地域のコミュニティでの平和教育のプログラムへの参加や支援、健康に関するイベントやワークショップの開催をします。協力もします。

■二度と戦争を起来てほしくないために、私たちは戦争について学ぶことを止めてはいけないと思っています。戦争のことを想像するのは怖いですが、戦争の怖さや戦争で亡くなった人々の思いをこの先もずっと忘れてはいけないと思います。私は、二度と戦争がなくなってほしいという願いと、同時に犠牲者の冥福と世界の平和を祈り、世界平和を発信します。

■マラソンの良さを皆さんにも味合わせてあげたいですし、健康で幸せになってもらいたいです。マラソンを完走したときの大きな喜びと達成感を思い出すことで、眠っている強さを発揮できるとを確信しました。

■これらの考え方の発信を説得力のある立場でできるように努力し、いくつになっても輝き続けられる！ということを、より多くの人に伝えたく、この大会でクラウンを獲得します！

What do you want to achieve with this project and what do you want to do when you get the crown?

I would like to win the Grand Prix at the World Convention and contribute to society as the "World's Best Challenger!

I thought that the only way for me to influence many people to listen to me now is to win the crown, in order to push and support them and tell them about world peace.

■The title of the platform is "Run Together, Smile Together. There are moments in life when we feel like giving up. That is why I want to build a community and run together with supporters, with people who are visually impaired as well as those who are facing illness, mental health, addiction, etc. I am confident that remembering the great joy and sense of accomplishment that comes with completing a marathon will bring out the strength that is dormant.

■ I am a firm believer that social media is a powerful tool for positivity.I have created a positive online community of over 30,000 people on Instagram, where I practice gratitude and spread pageant values.I will continue to use this platform to share my journey and inspire action!

■I want to start by learning and knowing and thinking about the facts and then sharing them with as many people as possible so that we can have a more peaceful world. And having run the full Honolulu Marathon as a hobby, I would like to support blind runners with my warm heart and smile on the long journey from start to finish by accompanying visually impaired runners and running with other people with disabilities!

■ Work on getting healthy. We will participate in and support peace education programs in our local community and organize health-related events and workshops. We will also cooperate with.

■ We should not stop learning about war because we do not want war to happen again. It is scary to imagine war, but we must never forget the horror of war and the people who died in it. I send out a message of world peace with the hope that there will never be another war and at the same time pray for the repose of the souls of the victims and peace in the world.

■I want to give everyone a taste of the goodness of the marathon and I want them to be healthy and happy. I am convinced that by remembering the great joy and sense of accomplishment I felt when I completed the marathon, I will be able to show my dormant strength.

■I will strive to be in a position to communicate these ideas in a persuasive manner, and continue to shine no matter how old I get! I will win the world's top prize in this competition to convey to as many people as possible that we can continue to shine at any age!

＊プロジェクト立ち上げの背景

社会貢献を通して女性が輝く社会を目指すという、大会の理念に共感しました。

ニューヨークに赴任した時、現地では女性が、男性と同じ責任のある仕事を任されていて、男性もそれを認めていました。まさに女性の社会の参画を目の当たりにしました。

ミセスインターナショナル&ミズファビュラスの参加から始まり素敵な出会いがありました。それは今後の活動にも繋がる様な出会いでした。日本大会、そしてさらに世界大会に参加出来たらどんな素敵な出会いや活動が未来にあるのか、繋がるの事が出来るのか、と考えるとチャレンジしたい、そして、ニューヨークに行きたい気持ちが強くなりました。女性として活躍したい、このコンテストできっかけが掴めたら嬉しい、と思い立ち上げました。物凄く小心者の私が、強くなって頑張ろう！という気持ちを持ち続けて、ここまでこれましたのも、周りの皆様の応援を頂いたからなので、その感謝の気持ちも現したいという思いが募りこのプロジェクトを立ち上げました。

Background of Project Launch

We shared the convention's philosophy of aiming for a society where women shine through social contribution.

When I was assigned to New York, women there were given the same responsibilities as men, and men accepted them. I truly witnessed the participation of women in society.

I had a wonderful encounter that started with my participation in Mrs. International & Miz Fabulous. It was an encounter that will lead to future activities. When I thought about what kind of wonderful encounters and activities I would have in the future and what I could do if I could participate in the Japan and then the World Convention, I felt a strong desire to challenge myself and to go to New York. I wanted to be active as a woman, and I thought this contest would be a great opportunity for me to do so. I am an extremely timid person, but I have been determined to be strong and do my best! I have been able to keep my determination to be strong and do my best, and I have made it this far because of the support of everyone around me, so I launched this project to express my gratitude.
