まずは私たちについて自己紹介！

AIKO&LISA

私たちは、現在日本の大学からスウェーデンに交換留学中の大学生です。
現在、それぞれスウェーデンのルンド大学、ヨーテボリ大学に留学しています。
年に1度、デンマークの満開の桜のもとで行われるイベントで、「桜」と「縁」をテーマに書道パフォーマンスを行います！

▼「Copenhagen Sakura Festival」とは？

デンマークのコペンハーゲンにて開催される日本文化を紹介するイベント。在デンマーク日本大使館、コペンハーゲン市などの協力を得て2008年から開催され、日本とデンマークとの文化交流が行われてきました。今年は2024年4月20.21日に開催予定です。

また、コペンハーゲンは童話作家アンデルセン生誕の地。アンデルセングループの故高木誠一氏、同社員の方々よりアンデルセン生誕200周年のお祝いに寄贈された200本の桜の木がランゲリニー公園で花開きます。

このプロジェクトで実現したいこと

①北欧の人々に日本や書道の新たな一面を伝える

海外で人気の日本文化の一つである書道。留学先で出会った友人の中にも、書道を知ってはいるものの、実際に体験したことがない、見たことがないという友人が多くいました。「書道」と「パフォーマンス」、「日本語」と「英語」の融合、言葉の面白さを存分に生かしたパフォーマンスを通じて、新しい視点から書道や日本の美を表現します。

また、北欧デンマークは芸術が日常に溶け込むアートの街。書道パフォーマンスを一つのアートとして発信することで、日本の新たな一面を北欧の人々に感じていただけたら嬉しいです！

私たちの書道パフォーマンスが日本文化に興味を抱く「きっかけ」となるよう精一杯頑張ります！

②「想い」を伝え、日本と北欧の架け橋に

留学を通してこの一年、北欧の地で多くの出逢いがありました。旅先での一期一会、大学の仲間、教授、切磋琢磨したクラブチームの仲間、北欧で暮らす日本人の方々。かけがえのない出逢いを大切にしたいという想いこそが、パフォーマンステーマの一つ「縁」にたどり着いた理由です。
このすてきなご縁を胸に書道パフォーマンスを通じて、北欧の方々が日本や書道に興味を持つきっかけを作ります。

▼クラウドファンディング実施の理由

北欧の地でのパフォーマンス。①資金がゼロの状態から、目標金額まで資金を集めること。また、②資金を調達するだけではなく、この場を利用して、多くの人々に活動を拡散したいという想いで実施させていただくことになりました。

プロジェクト内容

①パフォーマンスステージ

今回、私たちは「桜」と「縁」をテーマにパフォーマンスを行います。
作品を作り上げていく過程が見えるのが見どころの板を使ったステージとなっています。

「桜」

日本から遠く離れた北欧の地で咲く桜の美しさ、長い冬が終わる春の訪れを表現するパフォーマンス。
春から新しい場所でのスタートをきる方もいるかもしれません。
言語や国籍の壁をこえて、見ている皆さんへエールを送れたら嬉しいです！

「縁」

私たちは日本からの留学生として北欧の地で多くの人と出会い、助けられてきました。
一年に一度、家族や友人と集い、同じ場所で同じ時間を過ごすことを大切にしたい、という想いが込められているこの桜フェスティバルで、「縁」への感謝を表現したいと思っております。

②書道ワークショップのブース

ここではイベントに足を運んでくださった方々とより近い距離で
書道や漢字、日本の考え方や文化に触れてもらうことができるような企画を行います。

実際にヨーテボリ大学にて、書道のワークショップをした際には、
初めて筆を手にした皆さんに喜んでいただき、大盛況で終えることができました！

・名前を漢字で書いてみよう！（例：Amyエイミー→永美）
・好きな字を書いてみよう！
・文字や形をなぞってみよう！

パフォーマンスに使用する材料費、コペンハーゲンまでの交通費などに使わせていただきます。

Calligraphy Performance at Copenhagen Sakura Festival

We are university students on exchange to Sweden from Waseda University in Japan.
We are currently studying at Lund University and Gothenburg University.

We will give a calligraphy performance under the theme of "sakura" and "en" at an event held under the full cherry blossoms in Denmark!  

"En" is a Japanese word translated as fate, connection, or bands in English.
We have come to this theme out of a desire to appreciate the connection we made during my student days in this country.

▼What is the ”Copenhagen Sakura Festival”?

This event is going to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark to introduce Japanese culture. With the cooperation of the Embassy of Japan in Denmark, the City of Copenhagen, and other organizations, the festival has been held since 2008 to promote cultural exchange between Japan and Denmark. This year the event is scheduled to be held on April 20.21, 2024.

200 cherry trees will bloom in Langelinie Park. They were donated by Seiichi Takagi of the Andersen Group, a Japanese baking company, to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Andersen's birth.

▼What we hope to achieve with this project

(1) To introduce new aspect of Japan 

Calligraphy is one of the most popular aspects of Japanese culture overseas. Many of my friends I met here had heard of calligraphy but had never actually experienced or seen it. Through the fusion of "calligraphy" and "performance," "Japanese" and "English," and performances that make full use of the fascination of language, I would like people to experience calligraphy and the beauty of Japan from a new perspective.

In addition, Denmark is a city of art, where art is integrated into daily life. We hope that by presenting our calligraphy performance as an art form, people in Scandinavia will be able to experience a new aspect of Japan!

We will do our best to make our calligraphy performance an opportunity for people to become interested in Japanese culture!

(2) To build a bridge between Japan and Scandinavia

We have had many encounters in Scandinavia as an exchange student. These encounters have included once-in-a-lifetime encounters on my travels, university friends, professors, club teammates, and Japanese people living in Scandinavia. 

The desire to cherish these irreplaceable encounters is the reason why I arrived at one of the performance themes, "En". With gratitude for this wonderful fate, we will create opportunities for Scandinavian people to become interested in Japan and calligraphy through our performance.

(1)Performance Stage

"Sakura"

This performance expresses the beauty of cherry blossoms blooming in Northern Europe, far from Japan, and the coming of spring after a long winter. Some of you may be starting in a new place in spring. We would be happy if we could send a cheer to everyone watching!

"en"

As exchange students from Japan, we have met many people in Scandinavia. We decided on this theme out of a desire to express our gratitude for them and the encounter, "en".

This festival has a theme to gather with family and friends once a year and spend the same time in the same place.

(2) Calligraphy workshop 

You can experience writing calligraphy, kanji characters, and Japanese thinking and culture!

We held a calligraphy workshop at the University of Gothenburg this January. The workshop was a great success, and everyone who picked up a brush for the first time was delighted!

The funds will be used to pay for materials for the performance and transportation to Copenhagen.

・Materials (board, paper, ink, etc.): 53,000 yen　（3500SEK）
・Transportation (practice, transportation on the day of the performance, rental car to transport materials, etc.): 30,000 yen　（2000SEK）
・Commission Fees (17% + tax): 17,000 yen　（1100SEK）

This project will be conducted on an all-in basis. Even if the target amount is not reached, we will carry out the plan and deliver the returns.
