Ifurai is an exceptionally talented ceramic artist who captures the spirit of how the Jomon speaks to us today. I have had the privilege of visiting his gallery in Niimi city, and recommend anyone with an interest in art and archaeology to visit. I saw first hand how his work moves audiences overseas when he took part in our unearthed exhibition at the Sainsbury Centre at the University of East Anglia. This film will be an unprecedented opportunity to bring Ifurai’s world to new global attention.
