イロナ バウシュ氏　ライデン大学客員研究員 元ハイデルベルク大学客員教授

Ifurai is the pioneer of modern artists inspired by the Jomon period, but his art, technology and worldview are unique. In 2016, when I was visiting scholar at Tokyo University, I took my students from the Cultural Resource Studies department on an excursion to Ifurai and his museum in Niimi-city, and we also experienced the open-air pottery firing. It was an invaluable experience. I think that his documentary that explores the background of Ifurai and his art, also forms an important resource for students of Japanese art, culture, archaeology and heritage.

猪風来氏は縄文時代にインスピレーションを得た現代芸術の先駆者ですが、その芸術性、技術、世界観は他に類を見ません。2016年、東京大学客員研究員として在任中、文化資源学研究専攻の学生を率いて新見市にある猪風来氏の美術館と工房を視察し、野外窯焚きも体験しました。これは計り知れない貴重な経験でした。猪風来氏とその芸術の背景を探るこのドキュメンタリーは、日本の美術・文化・考古学・遺産を学ぶ学生たちにとっても重要な教材となると確信しています。
