🎷TAIYO FUWA / Tenor Saxophone and Tap Dance
2005年ハワイ州ホノルル生まれ。5歳でタップダンス、6歳でサックスを手にし、名古屋のLittle Hills Jazz Orchestraにて即興表現の礎を築く。中学卒業後に単身渡米。Scott Brown率いる米国の名門Roosevelt High School在学中、全米ジャズ大会の頂点「Essentially Ellington」にて2年連続最優秀賞を受賞。ソロ演奏は、審査員を務めたWynton Marsalisから「卓越した感性」と最高級の評価を受けた。
現在はBerklee College of Musicに、日本人史上2人目となる学長賞（Presidential Scholarship / 全額特待生）を得て在学中。George GarzoneやMike Tuckerらに師事し、高度な理論と伝統、現代的な独創性の融合を深く追求している。国内でも名古屋能楽堂やBリーグ公式戦での演奏など、ジャンルを超越した活動を展開。
「音楽を通じて、人と人とが手を取り合える世界を」という信条を胸に、己を律し、音とリズムが生み出す対話の可能性を世界へ発信し続ける。次世代のジャズを担う新たな才能として、その飛躍に期待が寄せられている。
13年にわたりクラシックピアノに没頭し、浜松国際ピアノアカデミーコンクール等、数々の国際舞台で上位入賞を果たす。強固なテクニックと透明感のあるタッチを土台に、現在はジャズの即興性を融合させた独自のスタイルを確立。Brad MehldauやFred Herschらに師事し、対位法的な語法と叙情性を深化させている。John Coltraneの難曲「Countdown」を革新的に解釈するなど、ソロ・ピアノにおける新たな構造的可能性を追求し続ける。
また、中国屈指の若手ライターとしての顔も持ち、哲学や精神分析学に精通。その学術的知見はNew York University (NYU) 系の学術誌で評価されるほど高く、音と構造に対する独創的な視点の源泉となっている。文学と即興を融合させる「Poetry on Jazz」を提唱し、上海やボストンを経て、現在は日本を拠点に国際的な活動を展開。音楽と学問の境界を自在に往来するその多次元的なアプローチは、ジャズの新たな地平を切り拓く存在として各界から注視されている。
スウェーデン・ストックホルム出身、米国を拠点に活動するベーシスト兼コンポーザー。10代より欧州全土でツアーを経験し、プロダクション・カンパニー「ZKWNZ」から「神童（Wonderchild）」と評されるなど、早くから国際的な注目を集める。16歳でBjörn Lyckligのライブアルバム録音に参加後、Berklee College of Musicへ全額奨学金（Full Tuition Scholarship）を得て進学。
現在は、David Bowieのギタリストとして知られるEarl Slickらレジェンド級の奏者から、Maya Leibowitzら新鋭まで、幅広いプロジェクトのボトムを支えている。入学初年度には、Danilo Pérezが率いる学内の最精鋭プログラム「Berklee Global Jazz Institute」に入選。ジャズの即興演奏を、奏者と観客の深い繋がりを築くための「対話の道具」と捉え、本質的なコミュニケーションを追求している。卓越した技術と北欧の感性を融合させ、音楽を通じた精神的紐帯を生み出すその姿勢は、次世代のアンサンブルを牽引する柱として高く評価されている。
🥁GILBERTO MORETTI-HAMILTON / Drums
ニューヨーク出身の、新進気鋭のドラマー／マルチ・インストゥルメンタリスト。カリブとイタリアにルーツを持つ音楽一家に育ち、深いスウィング感と洗練されたタッチ、そして現代的なエッジを融合させたスタイルを持つ。伝統を重んじながらも、常に新たなサウンドとグルーヴを探求し続ける、次世代を担う表現者である。
これまでに、ベーシストのLonnie PlaxicoやMatt Garrison、サックス奏者のTia Fuller、ギタリストのMark Whitfieldといった第一線のアーティストと共演。その才能は、Carnegie Hall、Jazz at Lincoln Center、Walt Disney Concert Hallといった世界屈指の主要ステージでも高く評価されてきた。
リズムへの情熱に加え、The Juilliard School（ジュリアード音楽院）のプリ・カレッジにてクラシック・パーカッショニストとしての研鑽を積み、世界的な指揮者Gustavo Dudamelとの共演経験も持つなど、その音楽的基盤は極めて強固である。

一日で二つの表情を味わえる特別な公演です。
地方にいながら、
世界最前線の音楽と出会える。
それは“特別な人だけの体験”ではありません。
子どもたちも、ご年配の方も、ご家族も、
誰もが世界レベルの
生演奏に触れられる機会をつくりたい。
単なるコンサートではなく、
音楽を通じた国際交流と文化の
バトンをつなぐ挑戦です。
本企画は「音楽で未来へつなぐ国際交流AIRプロジェクト」の理念をもとにしています。
AIR（アーティスト・イン・レジデンス）とは、
海外の若い才能が地域に滞在し、
人々と交流しながら
新しい文化を生み出していく仕組みです。
東京だけではなく、地方で。
多治見だからこそ生まれる出会いがある。
今この街で体感できる
特別な時間を残したいと考え、
プロジェクトを立ち上げました。

🎷TAIYO FUWA / Tenor Saxophone and Tap Dance
Taiyo Fuwa is an internationally active artist whose work fuses tenor saxophone and tap dance, grounded in the spirit and language of jazz. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2005, he began tap dancing at the age of five and picked up the saxophone a year later.
During elementary school, he joined the Little Hills Jazz Orchestra in Nagoya, where he developed a deep sensitivity to improvisation and ensemble performance. By age twelve, he was immersed in rigorous studies of music theory and performance, building a foundation that bridges physical rhythm and instrumental expression.
After graduating from middle school, Taiyo moved alone to the United States to attend Roosevelt High School in Seattle, one of the nation’s premier jazz programs. Under the mentorship of Scott Brown and Steve Treseler, he performed for three consecutive years at “Essentially Ellington,” the most prestigious high school jazz competition hosted by Jazz at Lincoln Center. He was recognized as an Outstanding Tenor Saxophone Soloist for two consecutive years, and his 2024 solo performance was highly praised by Wynton Marsalis for its exceptional musical depth and sensitivity.
During his time in Seattle, he earned first place in Washington State at the Bellevue Jazz Festival along with multiple individual honors. He appeared three consecutive years at Starbucks’ “Hot Java Cool Jazz,” was featured on KNKX Jazz Radio, performed alongside the Count Basie Orchestra and the One O’Clock Lab Band, and was selected for the Seattle Repertory Jazz High School All-Star Band. Upon graduation, he received the Louis Armstrong Award in recognition of his outstanding musicianship and dedication.
Taiyo currently studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he was awarded the Presidential Scholarship, the institution’s highest honor covering full tuition—becoming only the second Japanese recipient in its history. At Berklee, he studies with George Garzone and Mike Tucker, exploring advanced improvisational theory while pursuing a synthesis of traditional tone and contemporary originality.
His performances transcend genres and cultural boundaries, from presenting tap dance at the Nagoya Noh Theater to delivering the opening performance for a B.LEAGUE official game at Nagoya IG Arena.
Guided by the belief that music can connect individuals across differences, Taiyo continues to share the transformative power of rhythmic dialogue with audiences around the world.
🎹YUYANG GAO / Piano
After dedicating thirteen years to classical piano and earning top honors at major international competitions—including the Hamamatsu International Piano Academy Competition—Yuyang Gao established himself as a pianist of exceptional technical command and structural precision. Building upon this rigorous foundation, he turned to jazz in pursuit of expanded artistic expression.
Gao’s musical language integrates the architectural discipline of classical tradition with the spontaneity of jazz improvisation. Rooted in bebop and blues, his style incorporates intricate contrapuntal concepts, producing phrasing marked by intellectual clarity and a remarkably transparent touch.
Driven by an uncompromising commitment to artistic growth, he has studied with leading figures of contemporary jazz, including Brad Mehldau, Fred Hersch, Joanne Brackeen, Jesus Molina, John Patitucci, and Kurt Rosenwinkel. The contrapuntal language, lyrical depth, and inner-voice movement emphasized by Mehldau and Hersch have become central influences in shaping his musical philosophy.
In solo performance, Gao reimagines complex repertoire such as John Coltrane’s “Countdown,” using it as a vehicle to investigate new structural possibilities within improvisation.
Beyond performance, Gao is also one of China’s most active young intellectual writers. Deeply engaged in philosophy, literature, and psychoanalysis—particularly the Lacanian tradition—his academic work is currently under consideration by journals affiliated with New York University. This intellectual engagement informs his artistic vision, enriching his exploration of sound, structure, and meaning.
Inspired by Jim Morrison’s An American Prayer, he developed the concept of “Poetry on Jazz,” an approach that merges literary expression with improvisational language to create a multidimensional dialogue between word and sound.
Having performed in Shanghai and Boston, Gao continues to expand his international presence and is honored to bring his artistic voice to audiences in Japan.
🎸ALBIN SUNDSTRÖM / Bass
Stockholm-born and U.S.-based bassist and composer Albin Sundström has demonstrated remarkable artistry from an early age.
As a teenager, he toured extensively across Europe with international artists including Kwesi Yvorra (UK), Homeboy Sandman (U.S.), and Nova Luther (Sweden). The Swedish production company ZKWNZ described him as a “Wonderchild,” recognizing his precocious musical maturity.
At sixteen, he recorded a live album with Björn Lycklig. Upon graduating high school, he was awarded a full tuition scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he is currently based.
At Berklee, Albin has performed alongside veteran musicians such as legendary guitarist Earl Slick (known for his work with David Bowie and John Lennon), as well as emerging voices like jazz violinist Maya Leibowitz. His versatility allows him to anchor projects that span generations and genres.
During his first year, he was selected for the prestigious Berklee Global Jazz Institute under the artistic direction of pianist Danilo Pérez.
For Albin, jazz improvisation is more than musical vocabulary—it is a tool for authentic dialogue. Through the bass, he seeks to cultivate a deeper, more essential connection between performer and audience.

Gilberto Moretti-Hamilton is a New York–born drummer and multi-instrumentalist whose artistry reflects both deep tradition and forward-thinking innovation. Raised in a musical family with Caribbean and Italian roots, he blends a profound sense of swing and refined touch with a distinctly modern edge.
Committed to honoring tradition while continuously exploring new sonic and rhythmic possibilities, Gilberto has emerged as a compelling voice of his generation.
He has performed with leading artists including Lonnie Plaxico, Matt Garrison, Tia Fuller, and Mark Whitfield. His musicianship has brought him to some of the world’s most distinguished stages, including Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and Walt Disney Concert Hall.
In addition to his work in jazz, Gilberto trained as a classical percussionist at The Juilliard School’s Pre-College Division and has performed under the direction of acclaimed conductor Gustavo Dudamel, further strengthening his musical foundation.
An active presence in the New York jazz scene, he leads his own ensemble and performs regularly at iconic venues such as The Bitter End, ShapeShifter Lab, and The Cutting Room. Seamlessly navigating between tradition and innovation, Gilberto continues to shape a distinctive path in contemporary jazz.
