https://www.instagram.com/reel/DWZ6j0kk-VP/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==パフォーマンスの最後にお渡しする「作品のかけら」。私たちはこれを「Fragment（フラグメント）」と呼んでいます。このFragmentは、すべてVitさんの手作業で作られています。私も少しお手伝いすることもありますが、工程のほとんどは彼自身の手によるものです。黒い紙を丁寧に切り出し、台紙を作ります。そこに、Vitさんが自ら小さく破った作品の一部を、一つひとつ糊で貼り付けていきます。裏面にはメッセージとQRコードのシールを添え、最後に彼が表にサインを書き入れます。そしてお渡しの直前、その場でさらにもう一筆、想いを込めてから皆さんの手元へ届けます。形も、筆致も。世界に二つと同じものはない、すべてが一点もののオリジナル作品です。先日、堺で3日間連続のパフォーマンスを行った際のことです。3日分を見越して十分な数のFragmentを準備して挑みましたが、予想を遥かに上回る方々に足を運んでいただき、初日で全てなくなってしまいました。急いで翌日分を仕込みましたが、それもまたその日のうちに、すべて皆さんの手元へと渡っていきました。まさに「嬉しい悲鳴」でした。3日目の準備に追われていた時、ふとVitさんに尋ねてみたのです。「この作業、さすがに飽きてきませんか？」すると彼は、穏やかにこう答えました。「僕はFragmentが本当に大好きなんだ。この作業もね。一つとして同じものがない、これらすべてが僕の大切なアート作品だから」その言葉を聞いた瞬間、そんな質問をしてしまった自分が恥ずかしくなりました。効率や作業としてではなく、一つひとつの「かけら」に魂を込めている彼の姿。Fragmentには、そんなVitさんの純粋な想いがぎゅっと詰まっています。At the end of each performance, we offer a small “piece of the artwork” to the audience.We call these pieces “Fragments.”Each Fragment is made entirely by hand by Vit.I sometimes help a little, but most of the process is done by him.He carefully cuts black paper to create the base.Then, he tears small pieces from the original painting and attaches each one by hand.On the back, we place a sticker with a message and a QR code, and finally, he signs each piece on the front.Just before handing them to the audience, he adds one final brushstroke on the spot, putting his intention into each Fragment.No two pieces are ever the same. Each one is a unique, original work of art.Last weekend, we had three consecutive days of performances in Sakai.We prepared enough Fragments in advance for all three days, but far more people attended than we expected, and all of them were gone on the first day.We quickly prepared more for the next day, but once again, they were all handed out by the end of the performance.It was a “happy problem” to have.While preparing for the third day, I asked Vit:“Don’t you ever get tired of making these?”He smiled and replied,“I truly love Fragments. I love this process. Every single one is different—each one is my artwork.”Hearing that, I felt a little embarrassed for even asking.For him, this is not just a repetitive task.He pours his spirit into every single piece.Each Fragment carries that sincerity within it.
