モノは残せても、研ぎ澄まされた「空気」は残らない。

1. 世界が熱狂する「日本の魂」と「空気感」
はじめまして。LIVING BY DESIGN代表の源波淳子（げんなみ じゅんこ）と申します。
過去15年間、香港のPMQ（クリエイティブ発信地）や香港そごうなどを拠点に、日本の伝統工芸品やアートを世界の最前線で発信し続けてきました。
そのなかで、香港そごうの売り場での光景を一生忘れることができません。
ずらりと並べられた、新潟・燕三条の鎚起銅器（ついきどうき）。
決して安くはないその品を前に、海外の富裕層やお客様たちは、息をのんで立ち尽くしていました。
彼らはただ「美しい器」を買っていたのではありません。
「こんなに貴重なものを、遠く日本から届けてくださってありがとう」
何度も直接言葉をかけられ、彼らは数万円、数十万円というお金を惜しげもなく払い、飛ぶように買い求めていきました。
彼らが驚き、深いリスペクトを抱いているのは、単なる「技術の高さ」だけではありません。
その奥にある、日常の道具の中に宿る美意識、身体の感覚と結びついた神業、そして
「使うことで完成していく（わびさび）」という日本独自の文化です。

私はこの15年、日本の工芸品を「ただのモノ」としてではなく、
そこに宿る「日本人の精神性」として世界の富裕層に届けてきました。
日本では当たり前とされている「空気感」や「美意識」が、
世界では明確な「特別な価値（文化そのもの）」として熱狂的に受け取られているのです。

Over the years, I have witnessed people from around the world deeply moved by the beauty, craftsmanship, and spirit embedded in Japanese culture. Having spent the past 15 years building bridges through cultural projects, I strongly feel that the world is now seeking the true essence of Japan more than ever before."
2. 今、音を立てて消えようとしている「日本の魂」
しかし今、日本の国内では、絶望的な現実が起きています。
世界中からこれほどまでに求められ、特別視されているにもかかわらず、それを作る技術を持った職人の方々の平均年齢は70歳を超えようとしています。
「継ぐ者がいない」
「俺の代で、この技術は終わりだ」
職人たちは静かにそう語ります。
悔しくて、もどかしくて、胸が張り裂けそうになります。
本来であれば、未来に誇りをもって渡すべき文化が、「継承する手段がない」というだけで途切れてしまう。
これは、単なる技術の喪失ではなく「文化の断絶」です。
何百年と受け継がれてきた日本の魂の結晶が、誰にも気づかれないまま、今この瞬間にも暗い工房の片隅で消滅しようとしている。
このまま、ただ黙って見過ごすことなんて、私には絶対にできません。
The Vanishing Heritage: At the same time, the artisans who have inherited these traditions and sensibilities are quietly disappearing. In Japan today, these traditional skills and the 'soul of Japan' are fading due to an aging generation of artisans. I cannot just stand by and watch this happen.
3. なぜ「映像」なのか？ 私が残したいもの
※イメージ映像です。
技術やモノは、なんとかして残すことができるかもしれません。
でも、「空気」は残らないんです。
カンカンと鉄を叩く音、木を削る音、手の動きのリズム、静かな工房の時間、呼吸のような間。
これらは、写真でも言葉でも伝えきれません。
私が残したいのは、単なる目に見える技術ではなく「身体が記憶している文化」や「所作に宿る思想（大和魂）」です。
一つひとつの工程を、決して省かず丁寧に積み重ねていくこと。
誰に見られていなくても、手を抜かないこと。
そして、目に見えないものを感じ取る力。
この「精神」や「大和魂」は、言葉だけでは完全には伝わりません。
手の動きや間、呼吸、空気感の中に、自然とにじみ出てくるものだからです。
だからこそ私は、それらを丸ごと残すことができる「映像」という手法を選びました。
説明ではなく、五感で感じる映像を
映像であれば、技術だけではなく、その奥にある生き方や価値観までも、未来の若者や世界中の人々に手渡すことができると確信しています。
Why Films? Documenting the Intangible: Objects remain, but the 'atmosphere' does not. I want to preserve the sounds of iron being forged, the rhythm of a master's hands, and the spiritual philosophy (Yamato-damashii) that dwells within their movements. These are 'cultures remembered by the body' that cannot be captured by photographs or words alone. Films allow us to hand down not just techniques, but the entire way of life and values to future generations.
4. 10年で120本のアーカイブを。その「最初の1本」
本プロジェクトでは、日本の伝統工芸の奥義を世界に発信するため、高品質なドキュメンタリー映像を制作します。
私が掲げる目標は、1年に12本、10年かけて「120本」の映像アーカイブを構築し、世界の教育機関や次世代へ遺すことです。
今回は、その壮大で歴史的なプロジェクトの幕開けとなる「最初の1本」を制作するための資金を募ります。
1本あたり10〜15分の映像には、日本語音声に加え、世界に届けるため英語字幕を付けます。
「美・空間・身体・継承」という日本文化の本質を構成する軸をもとに、以下のテーマを取り上げる予定です。
１．燕三条の工芸（用の美と身体性）
２．京都の空間美（茶室や庭園が放つ静寂）
３．所作や儀式（茶道に宿る精神文化）
４．石川の工芸（輪島塗・金箔の緻密な手仕事）
Why 120 Films?
"While objects may remain, the 'intangible atmosphere' of a master’s workshop—the rhythm of the hands, the breath between movements, and the spiritual silence—cannot be captured by photographs or words alone. Over the next decade, our mission is to create a definitive digital archive of 120 films to ensure that the 'Soul of Japan' is handed down to the next generation and shared with educational institutions worldwide."
The 10-Year Vision: 120 Films: "My goal is to create an archive of 120 high-quality documentary films over the next decade—12 films per year—to be shared with educational institutions worldwide and the next generation. This crowdfunding campaign funds the 'First 4 Films,' which focus on the essential pillars of Japanese culture: Beauty, Space, Body, and Succession."
The Films Themes:
Crafts of Tsubame-Sanjo: The beauty of utility and physicality.
Spatial Beauty of Kyoto: The silence emitted by tea rooms and gardens.
Rituals and Movements: The spiritual culture within the Tea Ceremony.
Crafts of Ishikawa: The meticulous handiwork of Wajima lacquerware and gold leaf.
私が撮りたいのは、完成された作品ではなく、その“生まれる瞬間”です。
叩く音、光の当たり方、そしてふとした表情。
そうした一瞬の中に宿る日本の美意識を、最高品質の映像として記録します。
5. 資金の使い道
皆様からいただいたご支援は「最初の1本」を、世界に出しても恥ずかしくないクオリティで制作するための実費として活用させていただきます。（目標300万円の場合の使い道の内訳）
アーカイブ映像制作費（第1期4本の撮影・編集等）：約120万円
機材・機器購入費（高品質なカメラ、マイク等）：約75万円
ロケーション・交通費（京都、福井、石川へのロケ費）：約60万円
英語字幕制作・CAMPFIRE手数料等：約45万円
5. How the Funds Will Be Used
The funds raised through your support (target amount: 3,000,000 JPY) will be used to cover the actual production costs required to create these first four films at a quality worthy of sharing with the world.
Documentary Production Costs (filming and editing for the first four films): Approx. 1,200,000 JPY
Equipment Costs (high-quality cameras, microphones, etc.): Approx. 750,000 JPY
Location & Travel Expenses (travel and filming in Kyoto, Fukui, and Ishikawa): Approx. 600,000 JPY
English Subtitling, CAMPFIRE Platform Fees, and Related Costs: Approx. 450,000 JPY
6. リターンについて：文化の共創者になる権利
このプロジェクトは、“モノを買う”ためのものではありません。「文化を未来に残す側に立つ」という、一生の誇りとなる体験を得ていただくためのものです。

・本プロジェクトのリターンは、制作状況や現場環境に応じて内容・スケジュールが一部変更となる場合があります
・交通費・宿泊費・飲食費・保険料等はリターンに含まれておらず、参加に伴う実費は支援者様のご負担となります
・現地参加・体験型のリターンについては、安全に配慮して実施いたしますが、参加は自己責任のもとご判断ください
・撮影現場・工房見学・ロケ同行等は、天候・関係者・職人の都合により、内容変更・制限・中止となる場合があります
・コンサルティング・対話・企画参加等の内容は、あくまで情報提供・助言を目的としたものであり、 成果（売上・事業成長・ビジネス効果等）を保証するものではありません
・プロジェクトへの関与や企画参加を含むリターンについても、最終的な意思決定および進行管理は主催者側で行います・支援後のキャンセル・返金は原則としてお受けしておりません
・国・地域によって関税が発生することがあります。関税は原則として支援者様のご負担となりますので、事前に各国の規定をご確認ください。
・各クレジットに記載できるお名前は『個人名』または『ニックネーム』に限ります。

8. Important Notes for Backers
Reward details and schedules may be subject to partial changes depending on production progress and on-site conditions.
Travel expenses, accommodation, meals, insurance, and other personal costs are not included in the rewards and must be covered by the backer.
While we will take every reasonable precaution regarding safety for on-site and experience-based rewards, participation is at the backer’s own discretion and responsibility.
Studio visits, filming location access, and other on-site experiences may be changed, restricted, or canceled due to weather conditions, scheduling conflicts, or artisan availability.
Rewards involving consulting, dialogue sessions, or participation in planning are intended for informational and advisory purposes only and do not guarantee specific business results, sales, or growth outcomes.
For rewards involving participation in the project or planning process, all final decisions and project management authority will remain with the organizers.
As a general rule, cancellations and refunds cannot be accepted after support has been confirmed.
Customs duties, import taxes, or other fees may apply depending on the destination country or region. Such fees are the responsibility of the backer. Please check your local regulations in advance.
If fulfillment becomes impossible due to circumstances on the organizer’s side, alternative arrangements will be proposed whenever possible. Please also note that schedules may change due to unavoidable circumstances.
The name that can be listed in each credit is limited to either a personal name or a nickname.

In 2022, she established the non-profit Renaissance International Academy in Hong Kong to build a permanent educational platform for Japanese culture."
