Day 18｜It’s Slowly Taking Shape こんにちは。楓 -KAEDE- の海鮮丼あじゃです。Hello, this is kaisendonaja from Kaede.いつも応援してくださる皆さま、本当にありがとうございます。Thank you so much to everyone who continues to support me.ここ数日、函館は天気の良い日が続いていました。For the past few days, we’ve been enjoying beautiful weather here in Hakodate.私はその時間を使って、将来猫のおやつの原料として活用したい野菜の栽培準備を進めていました。I’ve been using that time to prepare for growing vegetables that I hope to use as ingredients for cat treats in the future.まだ小さな一歩ですが、実際に土に触れ、自分で育てるところから始めることで、原料への理解を深めたいと思っています。It’s still a small step, but by working with the soil and growing them myself, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of the ingredients.私が目指しているのは、北海道・道南の野菜を活用した無添加の猫用おやつです。My goal is to create additive-free cat treats using vegetables from Southern Hokkaido.猫たちが安心して食べられることはもちろん、地域の農産物の魅力を伝えられる商品にしたいと考えています。Of course, I want them to be safe for cats, but I also hope they can showcase the appeal of local agricultural products.そして今日は、もう一つ大切な作業を進めていました。Today, I was also working on another important task.それは「カエデの葉っぱ型」の制作です。That was creating a “maple leaf-shaped mold.”私のブランド名である「楓 -KAEDE-」でもある葉っぱの形をしたおやつを作ることは木の葉や草花が風に吹かれたとき音を出したいという想いがあります。I want to create leaf-shaped treats that symbolize my brand, Kaede.最初は頭の中のイメージだけでした。At first, it existed only as an idea in my mind.しかし、But then I kept thinking:「もっと葉脈を細かくしたい」“I want the leaf veins to be more detailed.”「本物のカエデらしい形にしたい」“I want it to look more like a real maple leaf.”「猫のおやつとして可愛く仕上げたい」“I want it to be cute as a cat treat.”そんなことを考えながら、何度も修正を繰り返しています。With those thoughts in mind, I’ve been revising the design over and over again.正直なところ、思っていた以上に難しいです。To be honest, it’s much more difficult than I expected.少し形を変えるだけで印象が大きく変わってしまいます。Even a small change in shape can completely alter its appearance.それでも、少しずつですが理想に近づいてきました。Still, little by little, it’s getting closer to what I envisioned.最初はただのアイデアだったものが、少しずつ実際の形になっていく瞬間はとても嬉しいです。It makes me very happy to see something that started as just an idea gradually take shape.このプロジェクトを始めた理由は、愛猫たちとの暮らしの中で感じた「もっと猫が興味を持ち、家族が安心して与えられるおやつを作りたい」という想いからでした。This project began with a simple wish that came from living with my beloved cats: “I want to create treats that I can give them with greater peace of mind.”そして今では、And now, it has grown to include bigger dreams:「猫の街函館」“The cat-friendly city of Hakodate”「保護猫支援」“Supporting rescue cats”「地域の農産物活用」“Making use of local agricultural products”という夢も加わり、少しずつ大きな挑戦になっています。These dreams have become part of the project, turning it into a much bigger challenge.もちろん、まだ試作品の段階です。Of course, everything is still at the prototype stage.製造方法の検討やペットフード安全法に基づく検査、OEM先とのやりとりなど、やるべきことはたくさんあります。There is still a lot to do, including production planning, testing, and discussions with OEM partners.それでも、一歩ずつ前に進んでいます。Even so, I’m moving forward one step at a time.今日作っていたカエデの型も、その小さな一歩のひとつです。The maple leaf mold I worked on today is one of those small but meaningful steps.応援してくださる皆さまのおかげで、こうして開発を続けることができています。Thanks to your support, I’m able to continue this development journey.本当にありがとうございます。Thank you very much.これからも試作の様子や失敗談、そして少しずつ完成へ近づく過程を共有していきます。I’ll continue sharing the prototyping process, the challenges I face, and the gradual progress toward completion.いつかこのカエデの葉っぱが、本当に猫たちのおやつとして皆さまの元へ届けられる日を目指して。I hope that one day these maple leaves will reach you as real treats for cats.引き続き応援していただけると嬉しいです!I would be grateful for your continued support. Ayako楓 -KAEDE-

今日は、小さな一歩が大きな一歩になった日。今日は開業相談に行ってきました。とても親切に話を聞いてくださって、資料を見ながらこう聞かれました。「猫が好きなんですか？」私は少し笑って答えました。「実は犬派なんです（笑）」でも、家族が猫と暮らしているからこそ、猫たちを見て感じたこと、悩んだこと、気づいたことから“楓 -KAEDE-” という商品を思いつきました。その話をしたら、なんと銀行の融資担当者の方をご紹介いただけることに。明日は、その方と面談。少しずつだけど、夢が現実に近づいている気がします。そして今日は、もうひとつの悩み。皆さんの猫は快便ですか？うちの子たちは正反対です。・teddy → 野菜大好き。快便。・gura → 食欲旺盛。でもずっと便秘気味。食物繊維多めのカリカリ。乳酸菌入り。たくさん運動。チュール。それでも硬い。ウェットフードは食べない。猫草も食べない。病院では「大きな異常なし」。でも不思議なんです。guraはteddyの2倍食べるのに、便は3割くらい…。「どうして…？」って本気で悩む毎日。野菜好きになってほしくてレタス、きゅうり、スイカ、カボチャを試してみたけど…全部食べたのはteddyでした。笑猫それぞれ、本当に個性が違う。こういう日常や悩みも含めて、猫たちと向き合いながら“楓 -KAEDE-” を育てていきたい。小さな研究記録、また残していきます Today felt like a small step toward a bigger dream.I went to a business startup consultation today.They were incredibly kind and carefully reviewed my materials.Then they asked me:“Do you really love cats?”I smiled and answered:“Actually… I’m more of a dog person. ”But because my family lives with cats,I’ve learned so much from watching them—their habits, struggles, and little personalities.That’s exactly how I came up with“KAEDE”, my cat-related product idea.And surprisingly…they introduced me to a bank loan officer.Tomorrow, I’ll be meeting with them.Step by step, this dream feels more real.Now… another mystery.Are your cats good at pooping? My two cats are complete opposites.teddy → Loves vegetables. Healthy digestion.gura → Eats a lot… but struggles with constipation.High-fiber dry food.Probiotics.Exercise.Treats.Still hard.No wet food.No cat grass.The vet says there’s no major issue.But here’s the strange part:gura eats nearly twice as much as teddy…yet only poops about 30% as much.I seriously don’t understand.I tried letting her smell lettuce, cucumber, watermelon, and pumpkin…Guess who ate them all?teddy. Cats really are full of surprises.Through these little daily struggles and discoveries,I want to keep building KAEDE, step by step.This is my research log, my dream, and life with cats. 

今日はレタスを使った試作を行いました。猫は匂いに興味を示して近づいてくれましたが、食べるところまではいきませんでした。今回の記録から、猫にとっては匂いだけでなく、食感や形状も重要な要素かもしれないと改めて感じました。小さな試作でも、ひとつひとつが大切な研究記録。少しずつ改良を重ねながら、猫が本当に喜ぶおやつを目指していきます ——Today, I tested a lettuce-based prototype. My cat showed interest in the scent and came closer,but did not eat it.From this small test, I felt thatnot only scent, but also texture and shape may be important factors for cats.Even small experiments become valuable research logs.Step by step, I’ll keep improving toward creating treats cats truly enjoy.
