The latest blood test result: (Posted on 2020/04/16 02:05)
Dear Patrons and English readers,
Thank you for supporting Kuri-chan.
As you know, Kuri-chan is on 84-days MUTIAN treatment programme, and
for the last 8 weeks, his intake of MUTIAN has been kept at double doses.
The end of treatment programme is not so far now, and the vet evaluation
on the blood test result is quite promising. (not a big change from the
last test)
Some movie clips:
① Kuri-chan's reaction to the blood test: not that painless, but his
reaction is small
② Kuri-chan's reaction to the MUTIAN injections: so stingy and painful,
he screams a lot
③ Letting Kuri-chan play to be in his excite mode. This is to see
whether his nerve system working well not not. (asked to film by MUTIAN
supplier)
As I wrote in the last post, on Tuesday of last week (April 7),
Kuri-chan struggled badly while being in the treatment.
The vet struggled also to stick the needle into Kuri-chan, as Kuri-chan
suffers from ulcers all over his back, it is harder find the good spot
for the vet to perform the injections. Out of three injections trials
that day, the vet even stabbed himself once....
Wednesday--Saturday treatments, Kuri-chan screamed enough, but on
Sunday, he couldn't help himself from wetting his pants when taking the
injection. (not that he wears one, he leaked....)
I am aware that Kuri-chan's mental strength is so weary, his back is
full of itchy ulcers. But somehow, he doesn't lose his faith in us. He
wants his pet more than ever, he asks for cuddles all day long.
When back at home, Kuri-chan is usually at rest and nowadays uses my
son's pillow to sleep with. But when he wakes, I can find that tears
welled up in his eyes and runs down his face... (T_T)
We feed him every 90 to 180 mins with the a/d canned food (the
prescription diet food), but his every intake is about a large spoonful
at a time. Though he does demand the seconds, but often shows the sign
of some purging...
We do leave the dried food for him as well, and he eats about 3~5
pebbles of them but he prefers the a/d canned food and he wakes me to
serve him even when I'm in bed.
I sleep by him as much as I can, but these days, I can notice him having
some nightmare about those injections, as he screams while he is
sleeping, and struggles then jumps up....
We have 8 more days to commute to the vet, I am trying my best to hold
myself together.
That's that.
Yesterday (April 15), at the vet, we met one of the kitten that we
helped as a milk volunteer in last Autumn. His foster parent happened
to consult the same vet as Kuri-chan and I could see that the kitten
has grown into a beautiful young boy, and is bigger than Kuri-chan
already. I am so jubilant that the kittens have found their good owner
and the safe home to live.
Lastly, just to let you know that we are in process of sending some of
the return goods from the 1st crowdfunding project. We will ship out
the paintings first to the respective patrons.
The end to this 2nd project is less than two weeks away. I often
discuss with Kuri-chan that we must fight until the end, how little more
to go compare to the last two months, we cannot thank you enough for
those are supporting us.
We are truly grateful.
Yours,
Maiko Kyougoku
