水が無いという意味ではなく、
「水の月」ともいわれます。

As the earth is nourished
and the light deepens,
the season of Minazuki arrives.

Since ancient times in Japan,
people have observed Nagoshi no Harae
at the end of June,
cleansing the impurities
of the first half of the year
and praying for peace
in the months to come.

Passing through the sacred ring of grass,
one purifies body and spirit,
and steps forward once again.

Minazuki is not a month without water,
but a month of water.

It is the season
when water fills the rice fields
and life begins to grow.

In the falling rain,
we sense purification.
In the water that nourishes the earth,
we entrust our hopes
for the harvest to come.
