今日で、熊本地震の本震から、早くも３年が経ちます。

KAENの店舗も、震源地から近く、大きく被災しましたが、私、スタッフ、家族は無事でした。

被災し命を落とされた方の分まで、本当の意味での復興を、我々が出来る事で、貢献して行こうと改めて感じた一日でした。

「ビールを通して熊本を元気にする」

今日も、応援メッサージを頂きましたので、ご紹介させて頂きます！

東京にあるオランダ王国大使館大使公邸マネージャーを8年間勤めあげ、現在は独立され、“HBF-Japan”の代表。熊本の美里町にてレストランを展開し、オープン間も無くミシュランにも掲載される人気のシェフです。

What I admire most about Yusaku is his unrelenting passion for all things beer and his drive to put his beloved Kumamoto prefecture on a “world beer map”. I first met him after moving to Kumamoto 2 years ago at a local, craft beer event called “Red Lamp” and we instantly hit it off, thanks to our mutual love of beer and food. He told me then about his plan to open the brewery that has since became reality.

His philosophy is to make as many people excited about beer as possible and bring us all together and this resonates with me greatly. Also his support for small local agriculture producers and various collaborations with them is amazing!

I personally enjoy most helping to brew at the Diamond Brewing and am very grateful for the opportunity to start our collaboration series called “Le Sausage Voyage” with other great friend, Jason of Kumamoto’s own Voyager beer bar. This has been great fun so far and I’m looking forward to where the future takes us in our brewing endeavours.

I’m happy and excited about Yusaku’s plan to open the World Beer Terminal in the downtown area and will surely be a regular there! Cheers!

私が本プロジェクトオーナーである悠作さんに感銘をうけたのは、彼のビール対する情熱と世界のビールマップの中に彼の愛する熊本県を置こうとする思いです。

彼との出会いは、私が２年前に熊本に引っ越してきてから、参加した”Red Lamp”というクラフトビールのイベントでした。
ビールと食への愛情がきっかけとなり、私達はすぐに打ち解けました。

彼はそのとき、ブルワリーをオープンさせる計画を私に話してくれました。
そして、その計画は今では現実のものとなりました。
彼の哲学は、できるだけ多くの人をビールに夢中にさせ、
人と人とを繋いでいくことだと思います。
そして、私はこれに強く共感しています。
また、彼が取り組む農業生産者との様々なコラボレーションは本当に素晴らしいです。

個人的に、私はダイヤモンドブルーイングでビール造りを手伝うことを楽しませてもらっています。
またビアバー”Voyager”のオーナーで親友のJasonとのコラボシリーズ“Le Sausage Voyage”を造る機会をくれたことにとても感謝しています。
この取組はこれまで本当に面白いものとになってきました。
この先も、ビール造りを通して、未来が私たちをどこに連れって行ってくれるのか非常に楽しみです。

今回、悠作さんが熊本の街の中心にWorld Beer Terminalをオープンさせることを、本当に嬉しく思っています。
きっと街の定番になるはずです！
