お元気ですか？

今、コロナウイルスの変異の凄さや、世界を覆い尽くす様子を見て体験して、これも溶けたチョコレートだなと確信しつつ、それにどのように対応し生きて行けばいいのかを模索しています。

ひとつ考えているのは「サーファー」になること。

波に逆らわない、沈まない、流されない、ただその波の上に乗ること。波と共にバランスをとりながらsurf（サーフ）し続けること。しかし、どうやってサーフすればいいのだろう？

Hello from the Edmonton International Film Festival (EIFF)!
We trust this e-mail finds you and yours healthy, safe, and navigating this zany carpet ride we STILL find ourselves on these days.  Festivals are also trying to find creative ways to bring content to movie-lovers while keeping audiences and filmmakers safe.

After careful consideration, we will NOT be inviting your film to participate.

THANK-YOU for the privilege to consider programming your film at this year’s OSCAR™ qualifying EIFF, set to take place IN-THEATRE, ONLINE and BROADCAST on Super Channel from OCTOBER 1 to 10.

Please know that these are the most difficult words we type each year.  Our festival team also spends time in the production world, so we know how difficult it is to get a project over the finish line.

First of all, we would like to thank you for offering your film to the 29th Raindance Film Festival and for considering us in your festival applications. Thank you also for your patience during the selection process. The programming team has now viewed and discussed your film with great interest.

However, it is our sad duty to inform you that your film was not selected for the Raindance Film Festival 2021. We understand that these must be rather disappointing news, but  please keep in mind that we receive numerous film entries each year, while the festival programmers are only able to invite a limited number of films - it is their task to create a balanced and multifaceted programme and many curatorial decisions have to be made along the way.

We thank you again for having preferred Raindance and would of course be happy, if you gave us the chance to follow up with you on future endeavours.
