あの場所で生まれたつながりを、
街のど真ん中で“カフェ”という形でもう一度、育てたい。

あの場所での半年間―― 僕たちは毎日、違う国籍・違う文化・違う価値観を持つ仲間たちと、本気でぶつかり合いながら、笑い、泣き、励まし合い、ひとつの世界を一緒につくってきました。それは“イベント”の枠を超えた、人生の一部になるような特別な時間でした。

終わりの瞬間、多くの仲間が同じ言葉を口にしました。

「これで解散なんて、さびしいよね。」

僕達の心の中にも、強く同じ想いが残っていました。
あの空気、あの熱量、そして、国籍も肩書きも超えて自然とつながれた時間。

数日後、和歌山の海にサーフィンをしに行く車中で二人で話していた時、僕たちは閃きました。

... もしかして、
あの空気感を未来につなぐことができるんじゃないか...

そう思って周りの仲間に声をかけたら、たくさんの仲間が賛同してくれていました。

中心人物は徐々に増え、仲間達の声を参考に、自然と動き出すプロジェクト。

そんな勢いでこのクラウドファンディングを企画しています。

今回の挑戦――

“文化が混ざり、誰もが参加できる”

新しい形のカフェをつくる

このカフェは、「店側がお客様を迎える場所」ではありません。“みんながつくり手になる場所” を目指します。誰かの店ではなく、国籍も経験も立場も関係なく、関わるすべての人が “主役になれる場所”。

そのために、次のような形を用意します。

【昼】世界と混ざりあう“ひらかれたカフェ”

• ピンバッジの交換会、グッズの交換会

• 世界の音楽が流れる

• 世界中の飲み物、食べ物が味わえる

• 思いがけない会話が自然にはじまる

• 場を活用した各イベント（語学教室やワークショップ等）

“安心して戻ってこられる場所”をつくります。

【夜】楽しく世界を知れる“コミュニティバー”

• 日本に住む外国の仲間が気軽に寄れる

• 仕事終わりにふらっと集まれる

• 初対面でも自然と輪に入れる

• 世界中の飲み物、食べ物が味わえる

「知らない国の人と、気づいたら仲良くなっていた」 あの場所で当たり前だった光景を、街中で再現します。

【イベント】
国ごとの“ミニナショナルデー”を定期的に開催

テーマ国を決めて、1〜2日間のイベントを開催します。

• エチオピアのコーヒーセレモニー

• ジャマイカのミュージックナイト

• スロバキアのクラフトワークショップ

• ベトナムの料理デモ

• 各国の雑貨や食品の販売

さらに、イベント前後は 2-3週間、その国の商品や文化にフォーカスした展示・販売を行い、訪れるたびに、まるで世界の一部を感じられる空間にします。

半年間のあの場所で、僕たちは一つの共通体験をしました。

世界中の人が本気で混ざり合うと、すごい力が生まれる。

島国の日本人にとって、文化の違いは壁ではなく、むしろクリエイティブそのものでした。たくさんの人が熱狂したあのエネルギーは消えるものではなく、続ければもっと大きくなります。だからこそ今、この“つながりの火”を街の中で灯し続けたい。

あの半年間を「過去のイベント」で終わらせないために。

“あの時の想いと熱狂を未来へつなげるための場所” です。

あの場所で出会った仲間たち。来ることのできなかった人、そしてこれから出会う人たち。

ここから「新しい文化」「新しい物語」「新しい挑戦」が生まれていく。あの頃のように笑って、語って、夢を語れる場所。そんな居場所をつくります。

We want to carry the connections born in “that place” into the heart of the city.

— And bring back that energy once more.

During those six months in “The place,” we spent every single day with teammates from different countries, different cultures, and different ways of thinking.

We argued, we laughed, we cried, we encouraged each other, and we created one shared world — together.

It was far more than a simple event. It became a chapter of our lives.

And when everything came to an end, many of us said the same thing:

“It’s too special to simply end here.” “This isn’t something we gathered just to walk away from.” “We need to carry this connection forward.”

I felt that deeply as well.

The air we breathed together, the energy that filled the space, the natural way people connected across cultures and titles —

None of that felt like something that belonged only to the past. It felt like something we could bring into the future.

And that is when we realized:

“Then let’s create the continuation ourselves.”

Once we started reaching out, more and more friends said “Count me in” before we even explained the details. The project began moving on its own — just like the natural momentum we felt in that place.

And that momentum led to this challenge:

To create a new kind of café — a place where cultures blend and everyone can take part.

So what exactly is a “participatory café”?

This café isn’t a place where “the shop serves customers.”

It is a place where everyone becomes a creator.

A place where nationality, experience, and position don’t matter. Where every person involved can take the leading role.

Here is what that vision looks like:

【Daytime】

An open café where the world naturally mixes**

• Music from different countries plays softly

• Ingredients and drinks from around the world line the shelves

• Unexpected conversations spark naturally

A space where people feel safe to return — a warm gathering point for people of all backgrounds.

【Night】

A community bar — the kind where you always find someone you know**

• A place where international friends living in Japan can drop by easily

• Somewhere to stop by after work

• A space where even first-timers naturally blend into the group

A place where you might find yourself chatting with someone from a country you’ve never visited — just like it happened so naturally in that place.

【Events】

Mini “National Days” held regularly**

We choose a theme country and run events for 1–2 days. For example:

• Ethiopian coffee ceremony

• Jamaican music night

• Slovak craft workshop

• Vietnamese cooking demo

• Pop-up shops selling each country’s goods

And for 2–3 weeks before and after the event, we feature that country’s products and culture in-store.

Each visit feels like stepping into a different part of the world.

Why call it “everyone’s place”?

Because this café is designed so anyone can take part in shaping it.

Because letting that energy fade would be a waste.

During those six months, we experienced a simple truth:

“When people from around the world mix genuinely, a powerful energy is created.”

Cultural differences weren’t barriers. They were sparks for creativity.

That energy isn’t something that disappears. It grows when we continue it.

That’s why now — we want to keep this flame of connection alive in the heart of our city.
