私は神戸・大阪・スウェーデンで広告代理店を経営する傍ら

自主映画制作を行っている、平成9年、兵庫県神戸市生まれ。

Popolu Studioの室屋（ムロヤ）と申します。

今回、太平洋戦争を題材にした仮想ドラマ映画（15分-30分の短編映画）を制作するため、

クラウドファンディングに挑戦することを決意しました。

戦後80年「もしも」という仮想の物語を通して、私たちが今、どれほど恵まれた時代に生きているのか、そして平和がいかに尊いものかを、次代に伝えたいと考えています。

第二次世界大戦末期に、実際に計画されていた

「ダウンフォール作戦」「コロネット作戦」（IF）を描きます。

この映画で描きたいこと

この作品で描きたいのは、「英雄」や「勝敗」ではありません。

極限状態の中で生きることを強いられたごく普通の人々の選択と感情です。

もし戦争が終わっていなかったら。もし、あの日常が続いていたら。

その「もしも」を通して、観る人自身が今の生活を振り返るきっかけになればと願っています。

リアルさへのこだわり

本作では、軍事教練の専門家、歴史考証の専門家

様々な専門家に協力していただきながら可能な限り歴史考証をおこないリアルな描写を目指します。

・時代考証に基づいた衣装・小道具

・当時の生活様式や言葉遣いの再現

戦争は、決してドラマチックなものでも、誰かが簡単に割り切れる出来事でもありませんでした。

日常の延長線上に突然現れ、理不尽さや恐怖、迷いを抱えたまま生きる選択を迫られた人々が確かに存在していました。

だからこそ本作では、過剰な演出や誇張によって感情を煽るのではなく、当時の生活様式、言葉遣い、空気感を丁寧に積み重ねることで、「そこに人が生きていた」という実感を伝えたいと考えています。

リアルさへのこだわりは、作品の完成度のためだけではありません。それは、戦争を生き抜いた先人たちへの敬意であり、今の私たちが享受している平和が、決して当たり前ではなかったことを忘れないための姿勢です。

この映画が、観る人それぞれの心の中で「自分ならどう生きるだろうか」と静かに問いを残す作品になることを願っています。

現在の準備状況

すでに本作は企画段階を超え、予告編の制作、一部のシーンの撮影を終え

終戦記念日に向けて本編制作に向けた準備フェーズに入っています。

専門家を交えての脚本開発、資料調査、ロケーション選定などを並行して進めており、

ご支援が集まり次第、撮影規模などを調整しながら速やかに撮影へ移行できる体制を整えています。

現在以下の準備を進めています。

・脚本は初稿を完成させ、現在ブラッシュアップ段階に入っています

・ダウンフォール作戦の資料調査を行い、時代背景や生活描写の精度を高めています

・ロケーション候補地の選定および撮影可否の確認を進行中です

・衣装・小道具について、時代考証を踏まえた方向性を整理しています

・少人数編成での撮影体制を想定し、有志が集まっている状態。演者・スタッフの規模及び構成を検討しています

・支援金の使い道について

1.撮影ロケ地費用

　撮影の舞台となる、1950年代の建物、施設の使用料金。

　兵庫県内のロケ地・丹波市・丹波篠山市様のご協力を得ながら

　歴史ある建造物での撮影を進めています。

2.出演者達のギャランティ

　役者のキャスティング、お弁当代、交通費・宿泊費用

3.撮影小物のレンタルと購入費用

　1950年代の米・日の装備・衣装などの調達

　年代物であり、復元レプリカが非常に少なく費用が掛かります。

4.撮影スタッフ・ヘアメイク・特殊メイクアーティストのギャランティ

制作費用は監督、室屋からの完全実費と関係者様方からのご協力で制作を進めておりましたが

既に総額：500,000円以上使用しており、予算が足りず制作が難航している状況です。

現代も尚耐えることのない、争い。世界中で文化・宗教・資源を巡って争いは絶えておらず

世界は混沌としております。

本企画の趣旨にご賛同いただき、戦後八十年という節目に、「もしも」という仮想の物語を通して、私たちが今どれほど恵まれた時代に生きているのか、そして平和がいかに尊く、かけがえのないものであるのかを、あらためて考える機会としていただけましたら幸いです。

My name is Muroya from Popolu Studio.I was born in 1997 in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture.

While operating advertising agencies in Kobe, Osaka, and Sweden,I also work independently as a filmmaker, producing original films.

About This Project

I have decided to launch a crowdfunding campaign to produce a fictional short drama film (15–30 minutes) based on the Pacific War.

Through an imagined “what if” story, marking 80 years since the end of the war,I hope to convey to future generations how privileged our lives are today,and how precious and irreplaceable peace truly is.

This film depicts the planned but never executed military operations at the end of World War II:

• Operation Downfall

• Operation Coronet

What This Film Seeks to Portray

This film is not about “heroes” or “victory and defeat.”

What I wish to portray are the choices and emotions of ordinary peoplewho were forced to live under extreme and unimaginable circumstances.

What if the war had not ended?What if that daily life had continued?

Through this “what if,”I hope viewers will be led to quietly reflect on their own lives today.

Commitment to Realism

For this project, we are working closely with:

• Military training specialists

• Historical research and verification experts

to ensure the highest possible level of historical accuracy.

Our focus includes:

• Costumes and props based on period research

• Accurate reproduction of daily life and language of the era

War was never something dramatic, nor something people could easily rationalize.

It appeared suddenly in the midst of ordinary life,forcing people—burdened with fear, confusion, and injustice—to make impossible choices.

Rather than exaggerating emotions through excessive dramatization,this film carefully reconstructs the daily routines, speech, and atmosphere of the time,to convey the tangible reality that real people truly lived there.

Our commitment to realism is not solely for artistic quality.It is an expression of respect for those who lived through the war,and a reminder that the peace we enjoy today was never a given.

I hope this film leaves viewers with a quiet question in their hearts:“If it were me, how would I live?”

Current Production Status

This project has already moved beyond the planning stage.

• A teaser trailer has been completed

• Several scenes have already been filmed

We have now entered the preparation phase for full production,aiming toward completion in time for Japan’s anniversary of the end of the war.

Script development, historical research, and location scouting are progressing in parallel,and once sufficient funding is secured, we are ready to move swiftly into full-scale filming.

Ongoing Preparations

• The first draft of the script is complete and currently being refined

• Research on Operation Downfall is underway to enhance historical and lifestyle accuracy

• Location candidates are being evaluated and filming permissions confirmed

• Costume and prop directions are being finalized based on historical research

• A small-scale filming structure is planned, with volunteers already gathered; cast and crew size and composition are under review

• January 2026: Teaser release

• March–April 2026: Start of main production

• August 2026: Target completion

• September 2026: Submission to Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival & short film festivals

Use of Funds

1. Filming LocationsFees for using buildings and facilities from the 1950s.With the cooperation of locations in Hyogo Prefecture, including Tamba City and Tamba-Sasayama City,filming is being conducted in historically significant buildings.

2. Cast CompensationActor fees, meals, transportation, and accommodation expenses.

3. Costume and Prop Rental / PurchaseProcurement of 1950s-era Japanese and U.S. military equipment and clothing.Due to the age of these items, replicas are rare and costs are significant.

4. Production Staff, Hair & Makeup, Special Makeup ArtistsCompensation for essential production personnel.

Current Financial Situation

Production has so far been funded entirely through out-of-pocket expenses by the director, Muroya,as well as the generous cooperation of those involved.

To date, over ¥500,000 has already been spent,and due to insufficient remaining funds, production is currently facing serious challenges.

Final Message

Even today, conflict continues unabated.Across the world, disputes over culture, religion, and resources persist,and the global situation remains deeply unstable.

At this milestone of 80 years since the end of World War II,through a fictional “what if” story,we hope this project will offer an opportunity to reflect once moreon how fortunate we are to live in this era,and how precious and irreplaceable peace truly is.
