大槌町から、世界へ。
ちょうど今、原宿で開催中のラルフ ローレンのイベント「PoloFest」では、サシコギャルズが制作したポロベアをご紹介いただき、私たちもご招待いただいています。
大槌町で、一針ずつ重ねてきた手仕事が、世界のブランドと出会い、新しい場所へ連れていってくれる。そのたびに、刺し子にはまだまだ可能性があると感じます。
次は、皆さんとも。
その入口として、8,000円の刺し子キットコースに「サシコクラブの集いへの参加資格」を追加する準備を進めています。すでに本プロジェクトの同コースをご支援いただいた方も対象で、追加のご支援は不要です。
途中の一枚を持ち寄り、進み具合を見せ合ったり、分からないところをギャルズに聞いたり。同じ趣味を持つ仲間と、刺し子を楽しむ場所をつくります。決まった内容を学ぶワークショップとは異なり、それぞれのペースで交流や相談を楽しめる集いです。
参加回数の制限はありません。開催ごとのお申し込みと、別途参加費が必要です。東京を中心に開催を予定し、今後は各地でも開催できればと考えています。日時・会場・参加費・申込方法は、決まり次第ご案内します。
ひとりで始めた刺し子が、仲間と楽しむ時間になり、いつか「つくり手になりたい」という気持ちにつながるかもしれません。サシコクラブから、いつかはサシコギャルズの仲間へ。そんな未来も、一緒につくれたら嬉しいです。

Thanks to your generous support, we have reached our initial goal of JPY 3,000,000. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has contributed, shared the project or introduced it to others. Your encouragement is helping our circle grow.
Our next goal is JPY 5,000,000: to move forward with training new members of SASHIKO GALS. Your support will fund technical instruction and learning materials for people who wish to join us, including students, passing our experienced makers’ skills to new hands and future generations.
From Otsuchi Town to the world
At Ralph Lauren’s PoloFest, currently taking place in Harajuku, Tokyo, a Polo Bear created by SASHIKO GALS is being featured, and we have also been invited to the event.
The handwork built up stitch by stitch in Otsuchi is connecting with global brands and taking us to new places. Each encounter reminds us how much possibility sashiko still holds.
And next, together with you
We are preparing an added benefit for the JPY 8,000 sashiko kit reward: eligibility for SASHIKO CLUB gatherings. Existing supporters of this project’s same kit reward are also eligible, with no additional pledge required.
Bring your work in progress, share your progress and ask SASHIKO GALS members about anything you are unsure of. Unlike a structured workshop, these informal gatherings offer time to stitch at your own pace, ask questions and meet people who share your interest.
There is no limit on the number of gatherings you may attend. Registration and a separate participation fee are required for each event; event fees are not included in your pledge. Gatherings are planned primarily in Tokyo, Japan, and we hope to hold them elsewhere in the future. Dates, venues, fees and registration details will be announced once confirmed.
Something you begin on your own may become time enjoyed with friends—and perhaps, one day, a wish to become a maker yourself. From SASHIKO CLUB to, someday, joining SASHIKO GALS: we would love to help make that future possible.
Perhaps one day, we will travel the world together.
