Title：The inquiry about wishing wall

Dear Sir or Madam

I'm a Japanese artist, Ouma.

I came to NYC last September and found out about the wishing wall for the first time.
"I’ll be doing a solo exhibition in NYC".
.
I'll arrive in NYC on the 14th July and my solo exhibition will begin on 29th and run to the 3rd of August.

It’s a dream come true to do an exhibition in NYC and it’s my goal to be on the wall.

Japan is still in bad shape since the earthquake in 2011.
However, it can be better if we can send our dreams in any condition and support each other.

NYC has a very strong support system. People from all over the world come to make their dreams come true.

In Japan I think that if the people support each other, the number of people with dreams will increase. To provide support I opened up an account with CAMPFIRE where I host my site.

I'll write their dreams down on the wishing wall in NYC.
It can be seen by people who come from all over the world and also provide a support system for each other after exchanging our dreams.

There are some people who are really happy because their dreams travel to NYC.

I'm also very happy that I can write 41 people's dreams on the wall as well.

I found out that the visitor center is permanently closed.
I was surprised and very shocked.

I know that we can submit our dreams through the Internet,
but it’s not the same as coming to NYC.
I hope that I can post their dreams on the wishing wall for even just a short period.
Is there any possibility that the wishing wall can be re-opened or is there any chance that you could give me just a few minutes to post their¬¬¬¬ dreams?

I’m hoping to give back to all who joined my project by posting their dreams.

はじめまして、日本人アーティストのOumaと申します。

昨年９月に渡米し、初めてWishing Wallの存在を知り、
「ニューヨークで個展を開きたい！」という気持ちを
Wallに書かせていただきました。

当時はなんのあてもなかったのに、なんと本当にニューヨークで個展が開催できることになり、29日から8月3日までの展示のために、14日の夜からこちらに来ています。

Wallに自分の気持ちを宣言できたおかげで、
自分の夢に対してまっすぐな行動を取ることができ、
こんなに早くに夢を実現させることができたのだと思っています。

日本は2011年の震災以降特に、苦しい状況に置かれていますが、
どんな状況であっても、自分のやりたいこと、夢を発信し、
それを応援できる社会であったら。

Wishing Wallのあるニューヨークは、世界中から夢を叶えたいと心から願う人が集まり、
それを応援する土壌のある地域だと思っています。

私がニューヨークで個展をするという夢を叶えたように、
他の人にも自ら夢を発信し、またそれを応援してくれる人が増えてほしいと考え、
CAMPFIREという日本のクラウドファンディングサービスを使い、
プロジェクトを立ちあげました。

ご支援くださった方の夢をニューヨークのWishing Wallに記載するので、
みんなで世界に向けて今の自分の夢を発信し、
同時に他の人の夢も応援しようよ！という意図のプロジェクトです。

メッセージをくださった方の中には、自分の夢がニューヨークに旅をすることを
とても喜んでいらっしゃる方もおられました。

私自身も、お預かりした41人様の夢を、Wallに書かせていただくのを
とても楽しみにしていました。

ですが、昨日、ビジターセンターを訪れ、閉館となっていたことに
非常に驚き、ショックを受けています。

夢はオンラインで投稿することも可能ですが、それでは、日本から書いても同じことです。
こちらで少しの間でも、実際のWallに掲載できればと思うのですが、
Wishing Wallが近いうちに復活する予定はないのでしょうか？

あるいは、現在もWallがあるのであれば、紙もピンもこちらで用意いたしますので、
少しだけお時間をいただき、Wallに掲示させていただくことはできませんか？

ニューヨークに自分の夢が掲げられることを１つの夢としてくださり、
プロジェクトに参加してくださった方々に、お返しできればと考えています。
