今は長野県で百姓見習いをしています。自分で生きていく力が必要だと感じ、その力を長野で身につけています。最近のテーマは「つながり」。人とつながること、自分とつながること、人と人をつなげることをテーマに活動されています。

 6年半ずっと避けてきた福島へついに足を踏み入れる機会を得た。今年避難解除になった浪江町、飯館村、そして原発の所在地である大熊町を周る。訪れる場所は除染が終わっていて線量は低いが、通り道などにはまだ値が高い所も見受けられ、同じ福島の中でも斑模様のようになっている。フェンスで入れなくなっている家や道路がそこかしこにあり、各所に線量計が設置されていて、ビニールシートに覆われた汚染土と、メガソーラーが目立つ。浪江町は元20000人のうち戻ったのは400人で何とか人が歩いているのを見かける程度、大熊町は50年後を見据えて定年した元職員の「じじい部隊」の人達が街とダム（原発の冷却水供給用）の手入れをしていた。飯館村では、道の駅を造ったり、花卉農家や牛飼いの人が戻ってきていたりして人がいるのが見受けられた。今回は行政関係者にお会いすることが多かったのだが、ここで生きていく覚悟というものと、日々を精一杯生きている中での気負いのない笑顔、芽が出て少しずつ物事が動き始めたことによる希望といったものが感じられた。物理的にも心理的にも障壁が多い環境は昨年までいたパレスチナを思わせるものがあったが、そこに確かに生きている人達がいることを、しっかりと心に留めておきたいと感じた3日間だった。

Got a chance to visit Fukushima after 6 and half years from the earthquake. Visited Namie, Iidate and Okuma where some areas already decontaminated but some places are still high radiation. Some houses and shops were closed with fences, found radiation detector, many mega-solor power stations and contaminated soil covered with plastic. I can see a few people walking on the street of Namie where 400 people came back out of 20000, retired town officers cleaning the town and dam (cooling water for F1 nuclear power plant) in Okuma and met with mayor, visited parking area, returned flower farmer and cattleman in Iidate. Met with some administration people and felt their determination to live there, smiles without tension who lives day by day and hope for the reconstruction since some activities are already started. Severe circumstances both physically and mentally made me think of the situation in Palestine but I really want to recognize the existence of the people decided to come back and live there in Fukushima.
