📌はじめに・ご挨拶

こんにちは！NEXTプロジェクトです🌎🇮🇳

私たちは、「日本とインドの架け橋」を掲げて、インドに関心を持つ、24名の大学生メンバーで活動しています！

本プロジェクトは、2019年4月に5名のメンバーから、「グローバル化の中での自国、自己のありようを多角的視点から再発見すること」を根本理念に据えた“Re-discovery yourself and your country”というスローガンの下で、大学に属する国際交流を進める歴史ある福利厚生団体のプロジェクトとして発足しました。

現在では主に、

・インドの文化や社会について勉強・体験
・Zoomでインドの３大学の学生とディスカッション・文化交流企画を１から準備し実現
・ナマステ江戸川区さんを通じて、在日インド人の方々と交流
・２月に実際にインドへ渡航し、現地で見聞を深める
・学んだ情報や経験を発信し、インドについての理解を広げる

という５つの活動を行なっています！✨

📌このプロジェクトで実現したいこと

私たちは、今回、「学生の人材派遣を通じた日印の架け橋」を体現するべく、

インドの国内ランキング上位の国立大学の学生（予定）２〜３名を日本に呼び、日本文化の体験や日印の将来について話す学生会議などを実施するイベントを実施します！詳細は以下です！

📌プロジェクトをやろうと思った理由

私たちは日印の懸け橋となるべく、様々な活動を行ってきました。しかし昨年度メンバーがインドに渡航した際、現地の雰囲気や社会環境など、実際に国に行ってみないと分からないことがたくさんあるということがわかりました。そしてその経験を生かして日印２国の違いについて考え、現地の人々と活発な議論を交わすことができました。そこで、インドの学生を日本に招致することで彼ら日本をじかに感じてほしいと考え、このプロジェクトを企画するに至りました。

📌これまでの活動

ここからは今までの私たちの活動について主なものを紹介させていただきます。

まずはインドの人々とのオンライン交流です。

メインの現地の学生との交流は昨年度夏に行いましたが、一年に数回開催しています。先の交流に向けては、文化交流やアカデミックな議論をするために数カ月かけて準備をしました。また、企画を考案する中で現地の方々の意見を求めてミーティングをさせていただくこともあります。先日は学生を公募してくださる現地の大学教授にフライヤーをご覧いただき、意見をいただきました。

オンライン交流イベント

次にインド渡航です。

こちらは昨年度2月に、2019年ぶりに形を新たにして、2回目の渡航を行いました。インドに進出する日系企業の訪問、交流している大学でのディスカッション、そして親睦会などを行いました。準備は大変であったものの、そんな苦労を服飛ばすほどの充実した5日間となりました。先述した通りここで現地の空気を体感することの重要性を実感しました。

こうした活動を行うためのNEXT内のミーティングは月に3回以上の頻度で開催されており、渉外・渡航・広報などのカテゴリに担当を分けて仕事を進めています。これまでにはどの大学からどのように招致するか、予算はどのようにするか、日程はどのようにするかなどを話し合うのに加え、google formの作成や、交流させていただいている西葛西のインドコミュニティなどの方々の意見をお伺いしたりしてきました。

📌資金の使い道

3名のインド人学生を募集する場合...

【必要経費】59万円
交通費 33万円、宿泊費＆管理費 14万円、食費5.3万円、諸経費6.7万円

【供給方法】
NEXT予算 9万円、協賛活動によって得た 6万円、インド人参加費(18万円以下)、キャンプファイヤーで得たお金(手数料を除く)

☆30万円集まったあかつきには3名のインド人を募集する予定です!!

2名のインド人学生を募集する場合...

【必要経費】45万円
交通費 22万円、宿泊費＆管理費 14万円、食費 3.5万円、諸経費 5.5万円

【供給方法】
NEXT予算 9万円、協賛活動によって得た 6万円、インド人参加費(12万円以下) 、キャンプファイヤーで得たお金(手数料を除く)

📌リターンについて

お名前のご紹介については、任意になります。プロジェクト終了後からずっと、報告書/HP/Instagramにて文字上でご紹介させていただきます。

※支援時、必ず備考欄に掲載を希望されるお名前をご記入ください。

また、活動報告会（オンライン）は45分程度の予定です。日程はプロジェクト終了後メールにて調整させていただきます。

支援対象者の応募資格：
1.インドの大学に通っている学生
2.NEXTの活動に協力的であること
3.原則全日程に参加できること

・支援対象者の選考方法・基準：

NEXTの作成したGoogleフォームをまずJNUの大学教授に送付し、担当の学生に募集をかけていただきました。その後応募のあった学生からNEXTのメンバーが話し合いで参加メンバーを決定します。
フォームには、なぜ日本に興味があるのか、日本への渡航歴、志望動機、イベントでしたいことに加え、自己紹介のショートビデオと金銭的負担についての合意を尋ねる質問があります。
話し合いではこれらの項目やNEXTとの相性を総合的に考慮します。

上記の日程でインド学生のメンバーを決定し、彼らとともにプロジェクトの詳細を議定していく予定です。

📌最後に

政治や経済的な側面で「日本とインド」の交流が進む中、学生間の交流は未だ希薄な日印関係。

私たちNEXTは、他の学生団体がまだ着目していないからこそ、インドと日本の交流を促進していくことを目標に活動しています。そして今回、これまでの日本学生のインド渡航やオンライン交流といった経験を踏まえ、次のステップとしてインド学生を日本に招くことに挑戦します。

他に類を見ない活動だからこそ、インド学生の日本渡航を実現させ、日本とインドの若者が力を合わせた時に生まれる力を世界に発信していきたいと思います。

📌First of all, greetings!

Hello! This is NEXT Project 🌎

We are a group of 33 university student members who are interested in India with the mission of "building bridges between Japan and India"!

This project will be launched in April 2019 by 5 members under the slogan "Re-discover yourself and your country" with the underlying philosophy of "rediscovering your country and self in the context of globalization from multiple perspectives". This student group was launched as a project of a historical welfare organization that promotes international exchange belonging to the university in Tokyo.

☆The main objectives of this summer program:  

①Learn about Indian culture and society ②Study and experience Indian culture and society

Introduction about our activities in the past✨

・Have been learning about Indian culture and society together through books, movies, etc

・Held cultural exchange programs with students from three Indian universities via Zoom from scratch.

・With the cooperation of Namaste Edogawa-ku, we have been communicating with Indian people living in Japan and visiting their homes.

・Traveled to India in February to deepen our understanding of the local situation.

・Transmit the information and experiences we have learned to broaden our understanding of India

☆What we hope to achieve through this project

We are now working for the purpose of building a bridge between Japan and India through the dispatch of students to and from India

We will invite 2-3 students from India's top ranking national universities to Japan to experience Japanese culture and hold a student conference to discuss the future of Japan and India! Details are below↓

📌Why did we decide to do the project?

We have been engaged in various activities to build a bridge between Japan and India as above. However, when traveling to India last year, we realized that there are many things that cannot be understood without actually visiting the country, such as the local atmosphere and its social environment. During this trip, we were able to think about the differences between Japan and India and engage in lively discussions with local people. This led us to plan this project, hoping that by inviting Indian students to Japan and give them a first-hand, unforgettable experience.

📌Activities to date

Here we would like to introduce some of the main activities we have been involved in so far.

・Online exchange with people in India

Our main exchange with local students took place last summer, but we hold these exchanges several times a year. For the exchange ahead, we spent several months preparing for the cultural exchange and academic discussions. We also have meetings with local people to seek their opinions as we devise our plans. Recently, we had a local university professor who was willing to recruit students to publicly view our advertisement and give us his/her opinion.

・Our trip to India

This was our second trip last February, in a new form for the first time in 2019. We visited Japanese companies operating in India, had discussions at Indian universities with which we had exchanges, and had a social gathering. Although the preparation was hard work, the five days were so fulfilling that we were able to put such hardships behind us. As mentioned above, I realized the importance of experiencing the local atmosphere.

Meetings within NEXT for these activities are held at least three times a month, and work is divided into categories such as liaison, travel, and public relations. So far, in addition to discussing which universities to invite and how to invite them, the budget, the schedule, etc., we have also created a google form and asked for feedback from the Indian community in Nishi-Kasai and others with whom we have interacted.

📌How the funds will be used

For recruiting 3 Indian students ...

[Necessary expenses] 590,000 yen

Transportation 330,000 yen, Accommodation & administrative expenses 140,000 yen, Food 53,000 yen, Other expenses 67,000 yen

Supply method

NEXT budget 90,000 yen, 60,000 yen obtained through sponsorship, Indian participation fee (less than 180,000 yen), money obtained from campfire (excluding fees)

When we raise 300,000 yen, we plan to recruit 3 Indian students!

If we recruit 2 Indian students...

Expenses] 450,000 yen

Transportation: 220,000 yen, Accommodation & administration: 140,000 yen, Food: 35,000 yen, Other expenses: 55,000 yen

Supply method

NEXT budget 90,000 yen, 60,000 yen obtained through sponsorship activities, Indian participation fee (120,000 yen or less), money obtained from campfire (excluding fees)

It is optional, but we will introduce your name on the report/website/Instagram on the letters all the way from the end of the project, if you would like to share your name.

In addition, the activity debriefing (online) is scheduled to last about 45 minutes. The date will be adjusted by e-mail after the project is completed.

Eligibility of applicants for support:

1. Students attending a university in India

2. Students who are willing to cooperate with NEXT's activities

3. Participation in all the program days in principle

Selection method and criteria for the recipients:

A Google form created by NEXT was first sent to university professors at JNU, and the students in charge of the program were invited to apply. Then, NEXT members will discuss and select the participants from among the students who applied.

The form includes questions about why they are interested in Japan, their travel history to Japan, reasons for applying, what they would like to do at the event, as well as a short video introducing themselves and asking if they agree to pay for the event.

These items and your compatibility with NEXT will be comprehensively considered during the discussion.

We will decide on the Indian student members and discuss the details of the project with them according to the above schedule.

📌Finally

   While exchanges between "Japan and India" are advancing in political and economic aspects, exchanges between students are still scarce in Japan-India relations.

  We, NEXT, are working to promote exchange between India and Japan because other student organizations have not yet focused on this issue. And now, based on our past experiences of Japanese students traveling to India and online exchanges, we are taking the next step to invite Indian students to Japan.

  Because this is a one-of-a-kind activity, we would like to make the Indian students' trip to Japan a reality and show the world the power that is generated when the youth of Japan and India join forces.
