この度拙作短編２作「Goodbye my son」と「Gift」をスペインのマドリード市で3/20-22に開催したFICIMAD (Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente de Madrid)にて上映しました。

今回はGoodbye my sonの父役の河合博昭と「Gift』の俳優陣、母役の伊澤恵美子と子役の志村瑛多が参加しました。実は「Goodbye my son」は2021年に最優秀助演俳優賞そして「Gift」は2024年に同映画祭で最優秀脚本賞に選出されていましたが渡航叶わず上映は見送られていたのですが運営者のトーマスが渡航できるタイミングで是非上映したいということで実現しました。今回は２作品の俳優が参加できたこともあり、なんと「Goodbye my son」の河合博昭は最優秀助演俳優賞と「Gift」の志村瑛多はFICIMAD Clavileño 最優秀新人俳優賞でW受賞という初快挙を成し遂げました。監督として主演の2人がこのような賞を授与されるとは監督冥利に尽きると言っても過言ではないです。俳優陣、クルーの皆及びサポータの皆さん、そして映画祭の運営のトーマス ペレスさんも本当にありがとう。また今回渡航にあたりご支援いただいたEU・ジャパンフェスト日本委員会事務局にも感謝の意を捧げます。これはみんなで獲得した賞です。感謝！

Two of my short films “Goodbye my son” and “Gift” were screened at FICIMAD (Festival Internacional de Cine FICIMAD (Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente de Madrid) held in Madrid, Spain from March 20 to 22.

This time, Hiroaki Kawai, who played Goodbye my son's father, actors from “Gift,” Emiko Izawa, who played the mother, and Eita Shimura, who played the child, participated in the screening. In fact, “Goodbye my Son” was selected for the Best Supporting Actor Award in 2021, and “Gift” was selected for the Best Screenplay Award in 2024 at the same film festival, but I could not make the trip to Spain and were not screened. This year, two actors were able to participate in the festival, and Hiroaki Kawai won the Best Supporting Actor Award for his role in “Goodbye my Son” and Eita Shimura won the FICIMAD Clavileño Award Best Upcoming Actor for "Gift. As a director, it is no exaggeration to say that it is a great honor for me to receive such awards for my two lead actors. I would like to thank all the actors, crew members and supporters, as well as Tomás Pérez, the festival organizer, for all their support. I would also like to thank the EU-Japan Fest Japan Committee Secretariat for their support in helping us travel to Japan. This award was won by all. Thank you!
