本日4月9日(水)は慶應SFC新学期2日目。
キャンパスには綺麗な桜が咲いています。

April 9th marks the second day of the new semester at Keio SFC. 
The cherry blossoms are in full bloom!

そんな私たちの今日の任務は...

寮内のヤギ受け入れ斜面にて
木のように硬くなったセイタカアワダチソウを撤去すること！

今回の目的は大きく分けて２つ。
①これからヤギ小屋や柵を建設する際の動線を準備するため
②枯木で人やヤギが怪我をすることを防ぐため

授業後に有志の寮生が集まり、作業を行いました。

Today's mission is to remove the stiff, almost wood-like stalks of Canadian goldenrod on the slope so that the goats can live comfortably. 

We have two main goals:

1. 1. Clear a path for building the goat shed and fences.

2. 2. Prevent any injuries to people or goats caused by the stalks.

After our classes finished, several dorm residents gathered to help out.

自分より大幅に背丈の高い枯れたセイタカアワダチソウは始めこそ格闘したものの、
生えている向きに引っ張ると意外にもすっぽり地面から抜けていくため、黙々と作業が進んでいきます。

At first, wrestling with the tall, dried-out goldenrod seemed challenging, but once we discovered that pulling them in the direction they were growing allowed them to pop right out of the ground, the work progressed at a steady pace.

枯れ草の中にたくさんの緑が隠れていました！

About three hours into our task.
 It turns out there was plenty of green hidden beneath all that dried grass!

今週は雨予報が続きますが、合間を見計らって作業を進めていきます。

そして本日19時をもって、クラウドファンディング開始から丸2日が経過いたしました。
現時点で50名のみなさまから合計¥465,000のご支援をいただいております！

We’re expecting rain for most of this week, but we plan to keep working whenever there’s a break in the weather.

Meanwhile, as of 7:00 p.m. today, exactly two days have passed since we launched our crowdfunding. We’ve received a total of ¥465,000 in donations from 50 supporters. 
We sincerely appreciate everyone’s generosity.

Now that the new semester has begun, our goat project is also seeing lots of new ideas take shape. We look forward to sharing some exciting updates with you soon, so please stay tuned!
