The "47 Prefectures Blood Donation and Awareness Project" is currently underway.
For my 38th donation, I went to the "Ibuki" blood donation center in Fukui Prefecture.

The blood donation center I visited this time was located in a quiet and peaceful place surrounded by greenery, and it had a very warm atmosphere.
The staff were all very kind, and the environment was set up so that I could donate blood with peace of mind.
During the activity, when I asked, "How many foreign blood donors do you get?",
"There are very few foreign blood donors."
That's what I heard.
I realized once again that in order to create a society where foreigners can donate blood with peace of mind, more information dissemination and awareness-raising activities are necessary.
Furthermore, during my visit, there were few young blood donors; most were elderly.
I strongly felt the importance of appealing to younger generations in order to support the future of blood donation in Japan.
This time, we also discussed and provided materials such as English medical questionnaires and English brochures, so that they can be useful to international students and foreign residents in Japan.
I hope that by reducing the language barrier, even a little, we can create an environment where foreigners who want to donate blood can do so with peace of mind.
Furthermore, this time, they also had a "computer for bone marrow bank registration," which is something rarely seen in other prefectures.
I was impressed by their commitment not only to blood donation but also to raising awareness about bone marrow bank registration.
We will continue our activities, one step at a time, aiming for a society where everyone can support each other's lives, transcending nationality and language barriers.
Blood donation is open to everyone, anytime, anywhere!
One blood donor brain family!
Foreigners can also donate blood in Japan!
Donate blood in your local area!
It may be a small step. But that step can become a great force that sustains life.
Thank you for your continued support.
PROUD BLOOD DONOR
