共同創業者Umaからのメッセージ（日本語）

皆さん、こんにちは。
私は、TomomiとRoopとともにToriiを共同創業したUma Chatterjeeです。

このクラウドファンディングをご覧いただき、そしてこの歩みに加わることをご検討くださり、本当にありがとうございます。皆さまからのご支援は、単なる資金的なご協力以上の意味を持っています。それは、私たちが共に築こうとしている世界への信頼と応援の意思そのものです。

Toriiの根底にあるのは、「人」と「情熱」、そして「目的」をつなぐことです。私たちは、人は違いを越えて出会い、互いの声に深く耳を傾け、人として共通するものを見いだすとき、本当に意味のある変化が始まると信じています。

分断や慌ただしさが当たり前になりつつある今の社会だからこそ、立ち止まって振り返り、対話し、本物の関係性を育む場をつくることは、これまで以上に大切になっています。

育った環境や文化、歩んできた人生は一人ひとり違います。それでも私たちは皆、「どこかに居場所がほしい」「人生の意味を見つけたい」「誰かとつながっていたい」という願いを持っています。Toriiは、人と人がそうした人間としての深いところで出会える機会を生み出したいと願っています。

今回のクラウドファンディングは、そのような「橋」をこれからも架け続けるためにあります。世代を越えて、文化を越えて、これまで出会うことのなかった人たちをつなぐためです。

そして、決めつけよりも好奇心を大切にし、分断よりも対話を大切にし、ともに学ぶことが、ともによりよく生きることにつながる。そんなコミュニティを育んでいくための挑戦でもあります。

アフリカのことわざに、

「早く行きたければ一人で行け。遠くまで行きたければ、みんなで行け。」

という言葉があります。

今回のクラウドファンディングは、私たちが皆さんとともに、もっと遠くまで歩んでいくための招待状です。日本、そして世界中から応援してくださっている皆さまへ。皆さまの信頼、励まし、そしてこのビジョンを信じてくださるお気持ちに、心から感謝しています。

ご寄付という形でも、私たちの活動を誰かに伝えてくださることでも、あるいは応援の声を届けてくださることでも、その一つひとつが、思いやりと学び、人と人とのつながりを大切にするコミュニティを育てる力になっています。

Hello everyone,

My name is Uma Chatterjee, and I am one of the founders of Torii with Tomomi and Roop.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about our crowdfunding campaign and for considering being a part of this journey. Your support means far more than a financial contribution—it is a vote of confidence in the kind of world we are trying to build together.

At its heart, Torii is about bringing together people, passion, and purpose. We believe that meaningful change begins when people connect across differences, listen deeply to one another, and discover shared humanity. In a world that often feels divided and hurried, creating spaces for reflection, dialogue, and genuine relationships has become more important than ever. While our backgrounds, cultures, and life journeys may differ, we all seek belonging, meaning, and connection. Torii exists to create opportunities for people to meet at that human level.
