共同創業者Roopからのメッセージ（日本語）

皆さん、こんにちは。
私はRoop Senです。Uma Chatterjee、Tomomiとともに、Toriiを共同創業しました。

まず、このクラウドファンディングについて知ろうと時間を割き、ご支援くださっている皆さまに、心より感謝申し上げます。皆さまからいただく一つひとつのご支援、一つひとつのメッセージ、そして励ましのすべては、皆さまが思っている以上に私たちにとって大きな意味を持っています。

Toriiは、とてもシンプルでありながら力強い、一つの信念から生まれました。それは、人は、自分自身や他者と、誠実に、好奇心を持って、そして思いやりを持って向き合うことができたとき、最も深く成長できるという信念です。

私たちは、国や文化、職業、世代を越えて活動する中で、多くの人たちが「意味のあるつながり」を求め、「より強い目的意識」を求め、そして、ともに学び、成長できる場を探していることを見てきました。

Toriiを通して、私たちはそのような場をつくろうとしています。

本来であれば出会うことのなかった人たちが出会い、対話をし、ともに経験し、学びの旅を歩む。そのプロセスを通して、自分自身を理解し、他者を理解し、違いを越えた関係性を築いていく。そのような機会を生み出したいと考えています。

今回のクラウドファンディングは、単に資金を集めるためのものではありません。

それは、よりつながりのある社会、より深く立ち止まって考えられる社会、そして、より人間らしさを大切にできる社会は実現できると信じる人たちのコミュニティを育てていく挑戦です。この旅に加わってくださる一人ひとりが、そのビジョンの一部となってくださいます。

私はインドを拠点に活動していますが、Toriiの活動を通して、インド、日本、そして世界各地の人たちの間に育まれてきた友情と信頼を、この目で見てきました。そのような関係性は、私たちの背景や文化が違っていても、希望や不安、そして夢には、多くの共通点があることを思い出させてくれます。

このクラウドファンディングを日本から応援してくださっている皆さま、本当にありがとうございます。皆さまからのご支援は、対話や学び、人と人とのつながりを生み出す機会を支えています。そして、その積み重ねは、今の私たちには見えている以上の大きな影響を未来にもたらしていくと信じています。

Message from Roop (English)

Hello everyone,

My name is Roop Sen, and together with Uma Chatterjee and Tomomi, I am one of the founders of Torii.

First, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you who are taking the time to learn about this campaign and support it. Every contribution, every message, and every act of encouragement matters more than you may realize.

Torii was born from a simple but powerful belief: that people grow most deeply when they are able to meet themselves and others with honesty, curiosity, and compassion. Across different countries, cultures, professions, and generations, we have seen that many people are searching for meaningful connection, a stronger sense of purpose, and spaces where they can learn and grow together.

Through Torii, we are trying to create such spaces. We bring together people who may never otherwise meet, and invite them into conversations, experiences, and learning journeys that help them understand themselves, understand others, and build relationships across differences.

This crowdfunding campaign is not only about raising money. It is about building a community of people who believe that a more connected, reflective, and humane society is possible. Every person who joins this journey becomes part of that vision.

As someone based in India, I have had the privilege of witnessing the friendship and trust that have grown between people in India, Japan, and many other places through Torii's work. These relationships remind us that despite our differences, we share many common hopes, fears, and dreams.
