We will be hosting an exquisite dinner from Awaji-island at our bar, MOGANA BAr.

“Cuisine HATO w/Awabiware” and together Awabiware’s exhibition both from the 4th – 13th of September,2020.

This collaboration is based on the theme “Hamo, a pike conger, summer traditional cuisine in Kyoto”.

You will be able to experience the fresh,rich resource ingredients from Awaji-island with a beautiful crockery “Awabi ware”.

It will be held for 6 days from the cooperation of the best Japanese Cuisine chef of "Hato", Tadashi Yoshida, from Awaji-island.

A course of 10 meals. Red sea urchin, seasonal ingredients such as Awaji beef, mackerel, redprawns and onions. A special seasonal ingredient that is indispensable during Kyoto’s Gion festival "Hamo".

* Please note that the provision of ingredients varies depending on the purchasing situation.

At the same time, at our Meditation room located on the 1st floor, will be a special exhibition of “Awabi ware”. It is a very special ceramic crockery which we use for our breakfast.

◆Cuisine Hato◆

 Chef Tadashi Yoshida carries a long establish signboard that has been around for over 123 years. It makes use of the rich and fresh seasonal ingredients of Setouchi’s seafood of Awaji Island. When Michelin Hyogo Special Edition was issued in 2016, it earned 1 star!!


◆Awabi ware◆

Potter, Junichi Okamoto (from Awaji-Island) completed the sculpture selection at Musashino Art University. Since 2012, he started his own brand “Awabi ware” in Awaji Island.

Awaji Island's beauty is described as "awa-bi" .

He started making pottery while learning from the production style of Minpeiyaki.

Ingredients from Miketsukuni “Awaji Island” with the special MOGANA ceramic glaze “Awabi ware” crockery will decorate your table. He is also known as our original breakfast plates.
