皆様、ネイティブスピリッツのプロジェクトページをご覧頂きましてありがとうございます。

鎌倉を拠点に、南米エクアドル出身のミュージックグループ”SISAY”(シサイ)やその他のアーティスト、ミュージシャンを紹介し、中南米の文化と音楽を広める活動を行なっております「ネイティブスピリッツ」代表取締役のルイス・マイグアです。

ネイティブスピリッツの根幹となる音楽グループ”SISAY”(シサイ) の結成から25年、法人ネイティブスピリッツ有限会社の設立から20年、そしてエクアドルと日本の外交関係樹立100周年を経たばかりのこの年に、このような未曾有の危機が訪れるとは誰にも想像出来ませんでした。

25年前に母国エクアドルから初めて来日し、日本の地に一歩を踏み出してから沢山の方々との出会いがありました。四半世紀に渡り日本での活動を継続出来たのはまさに奇跡のような力に守り導かれてきたからだと実感しています。

新型コロナウィルス感染症拡大に伴い、全世界的に音楽活動やイベント等の開催がままならない現状が続いており、ネイティブスピリッツも例外ではありません。ですが、この厳しい状況は私たちに与えられた試練であり、この状況を乗り越えるために今は何をすべきか、この先に思い描いていた夢を改めて認識し、強く願う気持ちを思い起こさせてくれる時間にもなりました。
また、私たちがこれまで活動を続けることが出来たのは、皆様が応援し支えて下さったおかげです。これからも皆様の応援にお応えし、共にこの困難を乗り越えて夢を叶える事が出来ると信じています。

NATIVE SPIRITS CAMP FIRE CROWD FUNDING

Thank you everyone for visiting Native Spirits fund crowding project page.

"Native Spirits" is based in Kamakura, and has been introducing the music and culture of North, Central, and South America. Moreover thru its main group, "SISAY" which this year approaches its 25th anniversary, as well as other artists and musicians have been promoting the music and culture of Ecuador as well.

Native Spirits Co., Ltd., was approaching its 20th year anniversary since the establishment of the company and when we were just celebrating the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ecuador and Japan, this pandemic which no one could have imagined happened, bringing with such an unprecedented crisis.

Since I first came to Japan from my home country Ecuador 25 years ago, I have been very blessed to have met many great people. I feel that I was able to continue our activities in Japan and Asia for a quarter of a century because of them and also protected and guided by destiny’s power.

Now, with the spread of the new coronavirus infection, the current situation about music activities and events throughout the world are very hard, and uncertain, Native spirits is not an exception. 

However, we also believe that this harsh situation is a challenge given to us, and it is time to reaffirm the dreams we had for the future and remind us of our strong desires for what we should do now to overcome this situation. 

During these past 20 years in spite of many difficulties, we have been able to continue our activities thanks to everyone's support and we believe that we can continue to respond to our supporters overcoming this very difficult time and make our dreams come even stronger.

プロジェクト「MAKIKUNA（マキクナ）〜手をつなごう〜」

私たちのプロジェクト名「MAKIKUNA（マキクナ）」は、エクアドル先住民族のキチュア語で『手をつなごう』という意味です。私たちの活動は、いろいろな人達の応援と支えがあって実現しています。
現在の困難を乗り越えるためには、みんなで手と手を取り合い、力を合わせていくことが必要です。
これまで私たちの活動に参加してくれた演奏者とスタッフからの応援メッセージをご紹介いたします。

MAKIKUNA PROJECT (holding hands)

Our project is named "MAKIKUNA" which in the Ecuadorian indigenous people's dialect means "hold hands". 

We feel that it is necessary for everyone to work together hand in hand in order to overcome any current difficulties.

私たちの活動

数々の屋外ライブや学校演奏、各種イベントやチャリティーコンサート等への出演依頼を経て、自主開催のコンサートツアーや“エクアドル・アンデスフェスタ”を主催するまでにネイティブスピリッツは法人として成長致しました。

日本のみならず、韓国や中国、シンガポールといったアジア各国へも活動の範囲を広げ、エクアドル・アンデス音楽を世界の皆様にお届けしています。

NATIVE SPIRITS ACTIVITIES

Native Spirits has grown as a company by hosting concerts, tours and also promoting the event named "Ecuadorian Andean Festa".

Throughout numerous outdoor live performances, school performances, charity concerts, etc, Native Spirits has been expanding the scope of our activities not only to Japan but also to Asian countries such as South Korea, China, and Singapore, Macau, and Taiwan delivering Ecuadorian Andean music to everyone in the world.

■自主企画コンサート
中南米の音楽に親しんで頂くため、全国にて自主企画コンサートを行っております。
エクアドル伝統音楽は彼らネイティブアメリカンの歴史と文化の起源を感じさせ、アンデス各地の伝承曲は大地の広がりと壮大な自然を連想させてくれます。一方、情熱的なスタイルで演奏するラテン音楽の数々は、聴く人々に人生の素晴らしさを伝えます。

INDEPENDENT CONCERTS 
We hold independent concerts nationwide so that our followers can get familiar with Latin American music and traditional Ecuadorian music, this way we can share the origins of our native American history and culture. Sharing traditional music from all over the Andes is a reminiscent of the expanse of the earth and the magnificent nature. On the other hand, Latin music is played in a passionate style conveys the splendor of life to the listeners.

■エクアドル・アンデスフェスタ開催
2006年より開催して来た「エクアドル・アンデスフェスタ」。
エクアドルミュージシャンのライブ演奏とともに、エクアドルについての紹介展示や民族楽器演奏・手作り体験教室、民族舞踊体験教室、南米物産品の販売等を通じて、地球の反対に位置する国と日本の方々との異文化交流の一端を担うことを開催目的としています。

ECUADOR ANDES FESTA
“Ecuador Andean Festa" has been held since 2006.

Throughout introductory of exhibitions about Ecuador, folk instrument workshops, handmade experience classes, folk dance experience classes, sales of South American products, along with live performances by Ecuadorian musicians, Native Spirits have been creating a cross-cultural exchange atmosphere between two cultures located on the opposite side of the globe.

■学校演奏・音楽鑑賞
笛や弦楽器、打楽器で奏でる彼らの音楽は、子供達に優しさと思いやりの心を教えてくれます。
中南米特有のリズム溢れる明るい曲やしなやかで切ない音階は子供達の耳にも素直に受け入れられるでしょう。また演奏を通してエクアドルについての見聞を広げる国際交流の機会としてもお役立て頂けます。

SCHOOL PERFORMANCES
Throughout the music, played on flutes, strings, and percussion, Native Spirits have been teaching children about kindness and wisdom. Bright songs with rhythms peculiar to Latin America and soft, sentimental scales from our native ancestors have been well accepted by children's ears. It also has been an opportunity for international exchange to broaden their knowledge about Ecuador and the Andes.

■国際博覧会への出演
2005年の愛知万博「愛・地球博」、2010年の上海国際博覧会ではアンデス共同パビリオンにて”SISAY”（シサイ）の演奏を披露し、期間中多数のリピーターを獲得しています。

INTERNATIONAL MAIN EVENTS
Native Spirits have participated at the 2005 Expo "Aichi, Japan" and the 2010 Shanghai World Exposition, where its main group "SISAY" performed, being the main attraction at the event in the Ecuadorian Pavillions getting thousands of repeaters during the period.

■2019年　日本・エクアドル外交樹立100周年事業閉会記念「レクチャーコンサート」
2018年より始まった日本エクアドル外交関係樹立100周年事業の閉会を記念するレクチャーコンサートにエクアドルの文化大使として世界的に活躍するバンド”SISAY”（シサイ）が出演し、エクアドルの民族音楽をはじめ、独自の「ワールド・ミュージック」を披露。そして日本伝統楽器の音楽家との共演等、両国の更なる友好を感じるコンサートになりました。（写真提供：MIN-ON）

■EFAS（Education for all Sisay）エファス：教育はみんなのため
エクアドルでは家庭の経済的な問題や山岳地の学校不足などの理由で、学校に通えない子供たちがたくさんいます。EFASは2000年にエクアドルのミュージックグループ”SISAY”（シサイ）によって設立され、チャリティーコンサートやイベント等の売上金の一部を、エクアドルの学校設立、施設整備、教材等の購入資金として寄付しています。

EFAS “Education is for all” Project
In Ecuador, there are many children who cannot attend school due to financial problems at home and lack of schools in the mountains. EFAS was established in 2000 by the Ecuadorian music group "SISAY" and Native Spirits who started joining foundations and donating part of the proceeds from charity concerts and events to fund the establishment of schools in Ecuador, facility maintenance, and purchase of teaching materials.

■海外公演
2002年に初めてシンガポールでの演奏の機会が訪れ、その後2010年の上海万博への参加をきっかけに本格的に海外公演を行うようになりました。再びシンガポールへと足を運び、シンガポールに引き続きマカオでも人気を博し、アジアの他の国でも様々な世界的ワールドミュージックフェスティバルに呼ばれるようになりました。またシンガポールの世界的に有名なエスプラネードからは毎年のように出演依頼を受け、その他中国・台湾・マカオ・香港・韓国などアジア各国の世界的なイベントに参加するようになりました。アジアで先駆けて公演を行なったパイオニアとして、これからもアジアだけでなく世界においてエクアドルはじめ南米の素晴らしい演奏家を紹介し南米の音楽と文化を広めていく事、そして南米の先住民が自分達自身の音楽で生活ができるように支援することが、私たちの使命であると考えています。

INTERNATIONAL VENUES
In 2002, we had the opportunity to perform in Singapore at major events for the first time, and after participating in the 2010 Shanghai World Expo we started performing overseas in earnest. This is how Native Spirits and Sisay were invited to various world music festivals in countries such as China, Taiwan, Macau, Hong Kong, and South Korea and started sharing our music in Asia. In addition, our main group Sisay has a yearly performance at Singapore's world-famous music spot The Esplanade.

As pioneers of Andean and Ecuadorian music, we have toured and performed around in Asia, our aim is to continue to introduce wonderful performers from Ecuador and South America, not only in Asia but also to the world, to spread the music and culture of the indigenous people of South America. We believe that it is our mission to support people and artists so that they can also help their families back in their land.



このプロジェクトで実現したいこと

エクアドル先住民族の血を受け継いだ私たちには、失われてゆく祖国エクアドルの伝承音楽や民族楽器の音色を守り、後世に残し伝えていくという使命があるのだと自負しています。

母国エクアドルの先住民コミュニティには音楽を目指す才能溢れる次世代の若者が数多くいますが、その生活は決して楽なものではありません。いまだに学校教育も十分に受けられず、子供であろうとも家の生活を支えるために働かなければならない境遇の子供たちが存在するのが現実です。

このような若者たちが先住民としてのアイデンティティを失わずに自らのルーツに誇りを持ちながら、祖先から続く音楽を大切に守り、また彼らのエネルギーを融合させた新しい音楽を生み出せるような環境を整え支援していくことが、日本で先駆けてエクアドル・アンデス音楽に携わった先達としての私たちネイティブスピリッツが目指す道であると考えています。

PROJECT’S PURPOSE

As indigenous people of Ecuador, we are proud of our ancestor's heritage and believe that it is our mission to preserve their music and timbre of folk instruments and pass them on to future generations. 

There are many talented young people in our indigenous communities of Ecuador who have music as their way of living, but life is never easy because of the lack of opportunities for these artists. 

Also, the reality is that there are still children who are can not get an education and have to work to support their home life. 

We have supported these young people by joining other foundations dedicated to creating an environment where they can take pride in their roots without losing their indigenous identity, carefully protect the music and create new music that fuses their energies. 

We believe that doing so is the path that we as Native Spirits aim for, and what our ancestors would do. Even far away from Ecuador and Native Spirits is willing to continue doing this as far as it is possible.

プロジェクトをやろうと思った理由

新型コロナウィルス感染症拡大に伴い、全世界的に音楽活動やイベント等の開催がままならない現状が続いています。この影響を受け私たちネイティブスピリッツ(有)も例外ではなく、今後法人としての経営が存続できるかどうかという瀬戸際に追い込まれています。

これまで、シサイ、ライミス、フヤニス、ペグーチェ・ティウ、ニュカンチ・ニャン、ワルカ、マウリシオ・ヴィセンシオ等のエクアドル音楽グループやエクアドル人アーティストを多数日本へ招聘して参りました。南米やヨーロッパで活躍する複数のミュージシャンを日本へ招聘するにあたり、ビザ申請や渡航準備、来日後のイベントやコンサート、自主イベント等の日程調整の綿密なスケジュール管理、宿泊先の手配、ＣＤやＤＶＤ制作にかかる録音費用や販売促進費など、膨大な経費とマンパワーが必要となります。

現在はエクアドルから来日する事も、エクアドルへ行く事もかなわない状況ではありますが、ネイティブスピリッツ（有）が法人として今の危機的状況が収束するまでなんとか持ちこたえて、来期に向かって乗り切る力を得るためにはどうしても皆様からの支援が必要なのです。

WHY WE ARE DOING THIS PROJECT

With the spread of coronavirus infection, music activities and events are not being held all over the world. Under the influence of this, we, Native Spirits Co., Ltd., are not the exception, and we are on the verge of whether we can continue to operate as a company. 

So far, we have invited many Ecuadorian music groups and Ecuadorian artists such as Sisay, Raymis, Juyanis, Peguche Tiu, Nucanchi Nan, Walka, Mauricio Vicencio, Ulali, and many more to Japan.

When inviting multiple musicians active in South America and Europe to Japan, visa applications, travel preparation, detailed scheduling, management for events and concerts, accommodation arrangements, CD and DVD production, recording, and sales promotion costs, a huge amount of money and manpower are required.

Native Spirits Co., Ltd. will not be able to manage to withstand the current crisis situation as a company and have the power to survive toward the next fiscal year. We really need your support so we can continue with our aims for the music, culture, and support of our indigenous artists.
