======================================
The project "ONE MEAL FOR MORE THAN ONE LIFE!" was successfully completed on October 10th.
In the end, the target amount of 850,000 yen was exceeded, and about 960,000 yen was donated by 104 people. We also received a lot of support from people living in Viet Nam which was 5,700,000 VND (about 30,000 yen).
With your important contributions and also the cooperation of local suppliers, we have tried our best to bring as many medical supplies as possible to the hospital and patients.
Project timeline:
Sep 10~Oct 10: Project Fundraising at CAMPFIRE
Oct 11: Transferring money to PL&G in Vietnam
Oct 12~ Oct 14: Preparing for medical supplies
Oct 15: Donation of Ventilator and COVID Protective clothing to NGUYEN TRI PHUONG Hospital
The entire collected amount is scheduled to be transferred from Campfire at the end of November. However, with a wish of delivery to Vietnam as soon as possible, the amount after deducting the Campfire fee was given to the PL&G Charity on October 11 in the form of advance payment.
After that, we immediately cooperated with the hospital supplier on-site and donated it to NGUYEN TRI PHUONG Hospital on October 15.
Protection Equipment (Level 3, 4)
Then, we received a letter of appreciation from NGUYEN TRI PHUONG Hospital and also a direct thank-you from the Director of the hospital.
Thanks to this project, we were able to connect with many people who have the same feelings, and the final result was incredible!
Even before the project started, many people have supported and given us such courage to do this project. However, judging from the situation of fundraising for the first and second rounds, honestly, we didn't expect that we could achieve the target of 850,000 yen.
When the project was published, not only the project members but also those who were not really in our team, we're willing to join us and enthusiastically introduced the project to many people as if they were really in our team from the beginning. And thanks to that, other new projects were born just to help this fundraising.
We received a lot of messages such as "Thank you for giving me the opportunity to contribute to my home country". And that made the project spread more and more widely in the Vietnamese community living in Japan.
Besides, we want to say thank you to people who helped us a lot in this project such as translating to English or making an Introduction video. Obviously, all of us do share the same thoughts and feelings that even living in Vietnam or anywhere in the world, we'd like to do everything possible to help our country, our beloved Vietnam. And it is because of these thoughts that have moved many Japanese people and made them help to promote the project till the end.
The project “ONE MEAL FOR MORE THAN ONE LIFE” is not an END, but a new start of another one - AFTER-CORONA SUPPORT
This project will be officially terminated with this activity report, but we were able to connect to a new project to support the return to lives of after-corona by the opportunity of this project.
The After Corona Support Project is held by the collabration between DONG DU OB / OG Student Association and the Vietnamese Student Youth Association in Japan (VYSA). Taking the Grameen Bank as a model, the project aims to evolve the business of the poorest, provide long-term support and help them out of poverty.
We hope to keep you updated with the new project.
In the beginning, we used the expression "There is a life that can be saved with your meal", and now we believe that together, we have done more than that! Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.
